Chapter 170: Come Out, Emu

**BRTTTT!!**

GrimSoul twisted his head behind him, only to see the cocoon of darkness he conjured up begin to shake and shudder as something began to make its way out.

"?!? H-How C-Can this be?!? How can you still be alive?!?!?" He howled with a demented expression.

He didn't understand! He couldn't understand! How could this human worm still be alive?!?!?

He refused to believe that he didn't die from his most powerful attack!!!!!

**Crack!**

"What a silly question to ask." His indifferent voice continued as the sound of glass shattering started to echo out.

"That is because you are weak."

**Crack!** **Crack!**

The darkness that enveloped Azmond inside of it shattered and disappeared into nothingness as he emerged without a scratch on his flawless figure.

"T-This c-can't be... I burned my soul essence to empty in that attack. I-It was everything my existence had to offer" He fell to his knees as a despondent tone leaked from his words.

He had given it his everything! 10000%!

And yet

He still couldn't put a scratch on that worm

"I don't care if you burned away your existence or if you depleted your soul essence to the negatives." He began with a disdainful tone. "You are still weak."

He spoke such words in a slow manner as he made his way over to the distraught figure of GrimSoul, his expression filled with nothing but disappointment.

He wasted a day fighting this guy, and yet GrimSoul didn't improve a single bit or use any sort of diversification in his techniques.

Even he himself had used a wide variety of different elemental and physical attacks. He used lightning, fire, water, air, and his space law, which was derived from his 'Quantum Law'. He used dozens of different techniques in the hopes of improving his comprehension of them all.

Which he did in swift fashion.

However, why did he feel like he could've gotten more out of such a fight if only...

If only this goblin ancestor called GrimSoul hadn't stagnated so many years ago.

'Why does he have to be so useless? He was supposed to be an all-powerful cultivator in the Void Refining Realm. But why do I see him as nothing more than an antique who had simply cultivated for such a long period of time that he naturally ascended to such a realm?'

'He was nothing more than a noob that got lucky with his starter equipment and continued to farm low-level monsters until he reached the max level'

'Were all the old and powerful cultivators like this guy?' He thought to himself as his daunting figure made it over to the depressed, old, and decrepit frame of GrimSoul.

His life force was fading away from his body, and it was doing it fast. He would undoubtedly die in a few minutes if nothing was done about it.

But do you think Azmond would let him off so easily?

**WHIRL!**

A brilliant bright green light flashed as Azmond used an exterior version of the healing technique he adapted from 'Boundless Restoration'.

And although it was nowhere near the level of the real deal, it would still be capable of keeping the Goblin Ancestor alive for a few more days.

And that was more than enough to do what he wanted to do with the detached GrimSoul.

"You brought this upon yourself, you know? You and that Goblin King of yours."

Words devoid of emotion sounded out into the Goblins Ancestor's ears as he looked up, only to see the lifeless blue eyes of Azmond.

"!?!?" And such a sight terrified him.

He bent over even further before he began to grovel at his feet. His frantic voice cried out not long after: "P-Please, S-Sppare m-mmy life!!" He sniveled with snot running down his face.

That intimidating and imperious persona of his had all but disappeared as he latched onto the firm legs of Azmond.

.....

"..." Disdain for the pleading and sniveling Goblin Ancestor was visible on those icy features of Azmond.

He couldn't believe he had spent a whole 24 hours fighting a 'strong' opponent, all for that 'strong' opponent to wind up begging for its life to be spared at the end of the fight.

'Were all powerful cultivators like this? Do they simply beg for their lives after losing, for fear of all the effort they expended achieving such a high realm going to waste?' He thought to himself with a blank face as he watched over the groveling Goblin Ancestor like he was looking at trash.

"P-please, Sp-Spare my life!!!" He wailed.

Azmond finally couldn't take it anymore as he lifted his leg up before kicking forward.

BOOooOOooOMM!!

GrimSoul launched forward at a speed surpassing 100 times the speed of sound; his weeping figure landed face-first into a mountain peak a few thousand miles away.

"That pest is finally off of me," uttered Azmond as he inspected his robes to make sure no green piggy was left on his clothes.

After confirming there were no discrepancies with his nice and clean robes, he turned his attention to the Goblin Ancestor, who was 'situated' a few thousand miles away.

His divine sense barely stretched that far, so the sight came out a little blurry. But he could still vaguely ascertain the bloodied and severely injured figure of that disgusting pig.

He swiftly retrieved his divine sense after making sure that GrimSoul would not be leaving anytime soon.

His gaze now moved toward the shining black and gold katana he held in his grasp.

"Come out, Emu," he murmured.

"Mhmu!" A squeak sounded out as Emu morphed from the katana in his hand to a black and gold slime the size of a watermelon.
