Chapter 185: The Ranks Of The Adventurer's Association
"That is just about everything!" The female clerk conferred with a friendly tone.
"The only thing you are missing is a name or pseudonym you wish to go by! Once you figure out what you want to be called, I can send out the order for a new adventurer token right away," she said with a cordial expression before waiting patiently for Azmond to decide.
'Hmm A pseudonym, huh?'
He started to contemplate the topic for a few moments before ultimately deciding what he wished to be called.
"I shall go with the name 'Morningstar'," he declared with a confident look on his face.
He only needed but a short span of time to decide that he wished to be called such a peculiar name.
Although the female clerk couldn't understand what that word meant or why he used such a pseudonym, she instantly responded with a confirmation.
"... Very well, then, I will send out the token order request right away."
She followed up such an affirmation with hurried steps toward the area that lay behind the counter section. Her silhouette disappeared before reappearing a few minutes later with a shining bronze object in her hand.
"This will be your identity token.
It shall prove that you are indeed an adventurer, and it also allows everyone to properly gauge your strength without a power level tester." She revealed the functions of the identity token before her amicable voice sounded out once more: "You only have a bronze token for now, which indicates your rank as an F-Rank adventurer.
A rank that was denoted from your Foundation Establishment Cultivation Base and the fact that you currently have no reputation or recommendation letters."
....
Info dump below...
Azmond learned a few things while conversing with the female clerk. The first thing being that the ranks of the Adventurer's Association were a little similar to the ranking system of RPGs back on Earth. The ranks went something like this >
HGFEDCBASSSSSS
All these ranks corresponded to the eleven Major Realms of the world of Asterion. It was such a ranking system that dictated Azmond's rank as an F-Rank Adventurer.
Of course, like everything in life, there were some exceptions to your power needing to be in the rank-specific realm to advance to a higher rank; however, such scenarios where people could advance to a higher rank without the 'required' realm were quite few and far between and usually only happened if a rich enough person burned through his amassed wealth.
Or if a person went through the back door and obtained a recommendation letter from a well-renowned adventurer or high-ranking member of the Association's Guild.
.....
The second thing that he learned was the 'Power Level System' that some of the inhabitants of Asterion use to gauge the strength of individuals. The 'Power Level System' had been exposed to Azmond once, a couple of years after he first reincarnated into the world of Asterion.
It was when the goblin Asura's he 'fought' around 8 years ago mentioned something about his 'Power Level' not matching his strength.
He paid no mind at the time; however, it seemed to be extremely relevant to the current him.
Certain people of significant enough affluence had the ability to get a 'power tester tool' of some sort, as long as they were willing to spend a sizable sum of AquaCoins or whatever currency they wished.
The Power Level System gauger would read a series of numbers depending on the 'power level' of the one being identified.
Those numbers went something like this
Body Refinement Realm (1-100 power level) (H Rank)
Qi Condensation Realm (101-1000) (G Rank)
Foundation Establishment Realm (1001-10,000) (F Rank)
Core Formation Realm (10,001-100,000) (E Rank)
Golden Core Formation Realm (100,001-1,000,000) (D Rank)
Nascent Soul Realm (1,000,001-10,000,000) (C Rank)
Soul Transformation Realm (10,000,001-100,000,000) (B Rank)
Void Refining Realm (100,000,001-1,000,000,000) (A Rank)
Unity Form Synthesis Realm (1,000,000,001-10,000,000,000) (S Rank)
Tribulation Transcendence Realm (10,000,000,001-100,000,000,000) (SS Rank)
Mahayana Realm (100,000,000,001-1,000,000,000,000) (SSS Rank)
There was also another piece of information he gleaned from his talk with the female clerk. That piece of information being the types of metals used to make coins
Gold was typically the most commonly used form of coin dispenser, as just about every form of money was made from gold. The AquaCoins were no exception to that general rule to follow when making a currency.
"..."
Speaking about currencies suddenly made him think about his system and why he didn't have any form of currency to gain
He pondered over the subject for a couple of milliseconds before ultimately deciding to ask Boundless.
'Hey Boundless?'
|Yes?| She responded instantaneously.
"Why don't I have any form of currency to acquire from the Boundless System?" He got straight to the point.
|Oh! that?| She began with a bubbly smile. |It is simply because you need to reach the Quantum Core Formation Realm and breach past the current cap on your 'Quantum Law' first! The 'Boundless System', otherwise known as me!
Divies and scales its functions based on the level of assimilation your 'Quantum Law' has reached.|
|And since you have barely even scratched the surface of such a law, this is all we have to work with. Luckily for you, though, the currency function will be unlocked as soon as you break through to Quantum Core Formation!
The next function you will unlock shall come after you achieve the Quantum Golden Core Formation Realm, that function being the System Shop!|
|That is all the future unlockable functions I am privy to discerning with your current 'Quantum Law Assimilation Rate.'|
|Advance through the realms, and I will be able to tell you of even more System functions to come!| She finished her explanation regarding Azmond's queries before snuggling her face back into his left side.
