Chapter 266: The Primal Beast And The Average Lifespans Of Mahayana Realm Cultivators
That's why they bought the ticketsnot for 'touring' like the higher-step residents, but because they wished to make a new life for themselves on the second floor!
*Step step step*
Monsters of all different shapes and sizes boarded the Swan Serenity in orderly fashion. They didn't dare get too out of line in the face of that 'kind' Lionkin acting as the announcer.
They had heard rumors about the lionkin, Low-Rank Monster King, 'Primal Beast'.
He was rumored to be in the Peak Stages of the Middle Void Refining Realm and possess overwhelming might!
Most here had also heard of the time he fought hundreds of Low-Rank Monster Kings in the Early Void Refining Realm, and the result of such a fierce battle was him coming out unscathed!
There was also a time he took on tens of thousands of Low-Rank and High-Rank Monster Generalsthe result of that battle was him killing them all in a single hit! That wasn't to mention the time he
It was sufficient to say that his deeds spread far and wide among those on the first through tenth floors. And it was due to such deeds and his 'hidden cruelty' that the Primal Beast was able to make it onto the Luminous Grounds Ranking Tablet.
Although his rank on the table had stagnated around rank 95,000100,000 for the past few hundred years, that didn't mean his strength wasn't still top-class among the members of the Luminous Grounds.
The Rank Tablet/Stele of the Luminous Grounds in the Nightmare Council.
It was a large tablet over one thousand meters in size; its origin unknown, and the material it was made of; also unknown.
There were rumors swarming around the Luminous Groundsthose rumors being that millions of years ago, the tablet crash landed on the tenth step.
However, such a distant era was so far back in time that not even a Mahayana Realm's Ancestor's Ancestor's Ancestor would've been alive for long enough to recall such an archaic time period.
Even the most powerful of Mahayana Realm cultivators, with all the resources they could ever ask for made available to them, would still pass away at around the 30,000-year mark.
And such a long lifespan could even be considered quite generous, considering that the usual lifespan of a Mahayana Realm Cultivator was around 16,00020,000 yearsthis was, of course, with no exterior methods used to extend their Lifespans.
Nevertheless, all this information only further hardened the 'rumor' about the Stele falling from the stars so many years ago. And if such a thing truly did occur, then it would make one wonder why such a thing 'fell' in the first place.
There was also the matter involving its inability to move from the spot it was planted in on the tenth step of the Luminous Grounds.
It had been situated on top of an enormous mountain over one hundred thousand miles in height, on an undisclosed location of the tenth step.
However, even with the massive mountain used as a placeholder for it, half the mountain was cracked in a spider-webbed shape around it!
And it had been that way for as long as anybody could remember.
WHIZZ!
The ship dubbed the Swan Serenity glided through the skies at speeds hundreds of times faster than sound as it traveled parallel up the 'wall' that sectioned off the second step from the first step.
And inside of that ship, a man, a woman, and a slime in katana form sat around a circular tablea table that had a gorgeous view of the world that passed them by at insane speeds.
However, in spite of the fact that the view outside the window appeared like nothing more than a plethora of lights flashing by, it still left for quite the mesmerizing scenery.
After all, a vast majority of the first step was dyed a crimson red. And red went well on the eyes when you were traveling at speeds hundreds of times faster than sound!
Nonetheless, such a tranquil and peaceful time gazing out the window of the Swan Serenity was interrupted by a certain bubbly voice.
|Are we almost there yet!?| Boundless asked as she put her elbows on the table, hands to her chin, and big, sparking brown eyes staring at Azmond.
"..." Azmond took one look at her and...
*Arghh!*
*Spurt!*
He was an extreme sucker for cute things, and it didn't get much cuter than that look on her face!
Azmond had wanted to enjoy his first time riding on a real-life fucking spaceship! But his focus was always interrupted by that ridiculously adorable girl he brought with him wherever he went.
Azmond was a truly helpless soul
Nonetheless, he couldn't just leave the curious girl hanging, so he responded, "Don't know."
His indifferent response was followed by him turning his head back in the direction of the window. He really couldn't take that face of hers anymore.
If not for his increased levels of restraint, Azmond feared he might ravage her right then and there!
But he didn't want to look like a perverted lunatic who stripped naked and started humping the table, so that was clearly out of the question.
|You don't know? I see *sniff*| Boundless started to sniffle a little while holding a hand to her teary eyes.
Her favorite part about her trips with Azmond was when she could ask him if they were almost there yet. That was their thing
"!?"
Azmond practically broke his limits right then and there as he moved at the speed of light, headed in the direction of the captain's quarters!
ZIP!
He appeared in a technologically advanced pilot's room and saw a wolfkin in some sort of futuristic space suit.
The wolfkin, who was in the Peak Soul Transformation Realm, noticed a presence enter his quarters as he turned around, attempting to get his voice out:
"What are you doing in he-!?"
