Chapter 334: How Much Do You Like Having Two Legs…?
[Zargaroth had a direct hand in everything that happened to Clawdia and her father, as he was the one who was tasked by the overseers to watch over him until the next alignment of the planets.]
[His plan had ultimately failed, as Percival broke out of his chains on the Twenty First floor and freed Clawdia as well.]
[Zargoroth was able to chain Percival back up after a bit of a beating, but Clawdia had managed to reach the gate that connected the Twentieth Floor with the elusive Twenty First Floor.]
[Zargoroth thought he had captured Clawdia toward the end; however, he was soon proven wrong, as Clawdia was pulled out of the gate by some unknown contender.]
-
"Hmm" Azmond glanced over the information as he got a rough understanding of the situation on the mysteries surrounding the Luminous Grounds.
However, not all of his quandaries were answered with just that overview, so he figured he would ask one of the main players in person.
"So, big guy," he began with a nonchalant voice. "Do you like having two legs?"
His words traveled up above the clouds, as the colossal Zargoroth was able to hear them crystal clear.
"!!!!!!" And it was such clear hearing that put him in an infuriated state.
"You dare mess with me!?!?" He roared, his snake-like tongue slithering out.
RUMBLE!!!
The red energy permeating around him increased a hundredfold as everything within a three hundred thousand-mile radius started to burn!
Although the extent of the damage to the surroundings was minimal due to the Twenty First Floor being an area quite high on the Qi-quality scale, it was still enough AOE damage that one six hundredth of the Twentieth Floor had its sand scattered in every direction!
"..."
Azmond looked at the outrage of the Monster Emperor called Zargoroth and recalled a certain red, very angry bird in his past life that had a temper just as short as the big guy's.
And it was through such nostalgia that he felt like he should give the big guy a chance to live. As long as he answered his questions, of course.
"Tell me, Zargoroth. How much do you like having two legs?" Azmond repeated his question with a slight smirk.
"?????" Zargoroth was angry at the same question being asked, but more than that, he was confused about how the puny human knew of his name.
'Speaking of its race, how did a human even get into the Luminous Grounds, let alone the Twentieth Floor!?' He thought. 'Have those worms on the lower floors been lax in their duties!?!? Should I go and eat up a few more cities to show them their place!?"
His expression turned even more malevolent than before as he was looking to do a repeat of the event that happened hundreds of years agoan event that resulted in the entire Twentieth Floor becoming devoid of any life!
'The Overseers were mad the last time I did something like that, so maybe I should hold off... But I will still eat up a few hundred million of them to teach them respect!!' Zargoroth thought.
After figuring out what he would do after killing the human and capturing Clawdia Moonweaver, he turned his venomous gaze back toward the human.
"How do you know my name, you puny insect!?" He bellowed out.
WHAZOOOM!
Even his voice was capable of causing natural disasters, as the entire area around Azmond was blown to bits!
However, the only thing he said in response to this destruction was, "This will be interesting."
He became a little fired up after feeling such levels of energy being released from the overgrown fire lizard, and if he put enough limiters on his power usage, then he might be able to get a little bit of fun out of his unfortunate encounter with Zargoroth.
******
Clawdia's perspective a few seconds prior to the question being asked by Zargaroth.
BAM!
'Aargh!' Clawdia let out an anguished cry inside her mind.
She recovered a little bit as she gathered her thoughts before she asked, "Who was it that helped me out of the gate?"
She had felt the presence of someone helping her through the gate, and she had also been latched onto by some powerful energy.
Which was why she assumed it would be some old man who had assisted her in her time of need.
However, all she saw in the surroundings was a tall, otherworldly handsome man with an aura in the Middle Nascent Soul Realm, a black sphere filled with a few High-Ranking Monsters, and then there was...
"Clawdia?"
Clawdia couldn't believe her eyes! But there she washer sister! She still had that same long, fluffy white hair and murky gray eyes!
Her body had grown a little bit in a few areas, she had gotten a little taller, and her aura was in the Unity Form Synthesis Realm; however, she was certain that it was her sister!
*Uhmph*
She attempted to get up and go embrace her sister; however, she had used up every ounce of strength in her battle against Zargoroth. And if she still wanted to keep her life essence intact, then she would have to stay put.
"B-But My Sister" She mumbled while watching Calista attempt to cross the lethal energy chasm that separated them.
And just as she was about to call out to her and tell her to stop coming after her, the handsome man from earlier had moved preemptively, as he appeared behind Calista and advised her against crossing the chasm.
Clawdia was relieved that Calista was stopped in time, but she was also curious how she wasn't able to see the Middle Nascent Soul Realm man move.
She hadn't even caught a glimpse of his movements before he had already reappeared somewhere else.
'Is he hiding his realm?' She thought with a perplexed expression.
'But why would he hide his realm? And how does he know my sister??'
Clawdia was going to continue pondering the topic; however, a sudden burst of pain hit her in the side!
