Chapter 470: Aya's Worry
"..."
A light blush formed on Aya's face as she teleported away and appeared in a different section of the wide, crimson-carpeted room.
"No closeness" She spoke with reddened ears from a few meters away.
"Ho~? But you sounded awfully sure of your ability to resist any charms just a second ago~"
Azmond noticed that she was quite confident in her resistance to charm, which was why she pointed out his disguise, expecting him to reveal something far superior.
But unexpectedly for her, she was forced to look at something that didn't even seem like it came from this plane of existence
Why is he so absurdly good-looking?? I don't understand
Aya's usually organized and well-structured train of thought was thrown into disarray the moment that Azmond got rid of his disguise.
She wasn't a superficial person in the slightest; however, when someone like him appeared in front of her, and with that radiant smile of his, she might as well have had no charm resistance!
Nevertheless, Aya still managed to control her emotions as she organized her thoughts before saying, "I still wish to ask you about something. Or rather, about two different things."
There was still a slight tinge of redness on her cheeks; however, it had lessened considerably when compared to just a second ago.
Ho? She's quite good at reining in her emotions But unfortunately for her, I enjoy a challenge
Azmond's eyes creased up, as he knew just what he needed to do to loosen up this troubled vampire and succubus mix.
His movements were swift and unnoticeable as he blurred from his spot and appeared right next to Aya, his face aiming straight for hers.
And just as it seemed like they were about to kiss, his mouth passed by her flawless face and whispered, "You wish to speak about what exactly~?"
"!?" Aya felt his warm breath mingle with her left earlobe as she backed up a little before mumbling, "I-I wish to ask you about your race and also about a potential partnership between the Demon Race and your master."
Her words came out in a slight stutter, but she was eventually able to get her intent across with a hand covering her rosy complexion.
Aya wasn't one to let her emotions get the better of her. However, ever since this man entered her private viewing room and took off his disguise, she was beginning to lose her control over the flow of the conversation.
Something that worried her more than anything
After all, her entire life, all she had to rely on was her talent and her wits.
And to allow her talent to fully bloom, Aya had to use her wits to get herself out of every precarious situation she found herself in when she was younger.
So to find herself so flustered over a man whom she had known for less than a few minutes left her baffled at what would come if she wasn't able to resist him
"..." Azmond looked at the troubled expression that the Demon Princess was making as he chortled a little before sporting a serious look on his face.
"???" Aya was surprised by this sudden seriousness, but she wasn't one to complain over obtaining a little respite.
She sat on her velvet mat, waiting for him to speak up, and it didn't take long before
"So I assume that your elders are the ones aiming for the second demand, while you're the one who wishes to know more about my race?"
Azmond's deep and soothing voice resounded as he stared into those pretty red jewels of hers.
Aya heard his words clearly as she replied, "I don't know how you figured that out, but yes, you are accurate in your deduction."
"Well, I could figure it out because of my eyes," Azmond said while pointing at one of his multi-colored eyes.
The Demon Princess almost got lost in his gaze for a second before she snapped out of it and said, "Your eyes do seem to have some special effects"
Her eyes flickered a little when she said the last part, as it was obvious that she was simply entranced by those whirlpools on his face.
"Sure, sure~" Azmond mused before saying, "However, on a serious note. I do wish to tell you that I am a certain variation of sex demon called a 'Semon', and while I'm similar to you in a way, I'm also completely and fundamentally different."
"Different?" Aya questioned with a perplexed look on her face.
Although she wasn't too keen on the details of his race, she was sure that they were the same.
However, it looked like she was wrong?
Azmond smiled a little at her disappointed expression, as even through her veil, he could see it as clear as day.
And in response to her dismay, he said, "You don't need to become so glum, haha~ I never said we weren't alike, just not the same~"
"!?" Aya became even more confused at these words, but more than that, she felt a tinge of happiness upon hearing that they were the same.
Azmond noticed this as well, but he decided to leave it for later, as he said, "And about that other question. I don't mind telling my master of this potential 'partnership'; however, don't be mistaken; he will be taking everyone under his rule, so don't see him as an equal."
Hearing his response, Aya completely understood what he was talking about, as she replied, "I can tell my seniors and family members of this, so when can I expect you to drop by again?"
"Oh~? You want me to come back so soon~?" Azmond asked with a fox-like look on his face.
His body inched ever closer to hers, as he was aiming to make the gentle yet serious beauty's heart race a little more.
"... I-I didn't mean it like that St-Stop misconstruing my words!" Aya shouted with a low voice as her cheeks puffed out a little.
"Heh~ but it sounded like you wanted me to come back right away~ So why don't I just stay so you don't have to go through the whole process of waiting~?"
Azmond's playful words echoed out, as he was once again right in front of the alluring body of the red-eyed woman.
