Chapter 130: Banquet!
"The entire 7 days of the auction. We have yet to find anything interesting." Alexander looked at his wife and back at Draco before he replied.
"What about you?" He added.
"You guys can stay here; I will be leaving. If you find anything interesting, you can put it on my tab. I believe they should have that option here." Draco replied that he wasn't planning on staying here for 7 whole days; he had things to do.
Alexander started feeling himself becoming like a freeloader, as if the entire reputation he had as The Anomaly was gone.
"No need, I put something on the auction. It should fetch a good few trillions for me. Thank you." Alexander sighed and told Draco.
He didn't know why, but in front of Draco, he felt like a meaningless character.
However, it was about time he regained his image in front of Draco and started building his reputation from the ground up in this new realm.
A second later, a knock was heard on the door.
"Enter." Draco ordered.
The door opened, and one of the service ladies that Draco had seen behind the auctioneer entered the room with two of the chests demonstrated before floating behind her.
The lady looked unwell, as if she were trying her best to control herself and act professionally.
"Good day, sir. We've brought your items; if you would please pay." The lady bowed and asked Draco as politely as she could.
"Was it 44 trillion I had? Here." Draco, not paying any attention to the lady, waved his hands, and stacks of dark bills flew towards her, and a dark ring of sorts absorbed them.
A moment later, the lady got out of her bowing position after confirming that the money was just right, and she controlled the chests to float in front of Draco like mythical treasures.
Without waiting for everyone, the chests opened with a *Click* and the golden light showered the room once again in its presence, as well as the oppressive auraz flowing out of the book that didn't do anything to Draco and Alexander; however, some of Alexander's wives had ever so slight problems with it due to their low ranks that were quickly dispersed.
The Divine Pardon was a white feather emitting a holy aura that Draco quickly sent to his inventory.
As for the Book, the second Draco got up to approach it and touched it with his hands, a system notification appeared in front of him.
[Would you like to learn this Technique [Fallen Fate(Origin Emperor-Rank)]?]
"No." Draco refused and stored the technique inside his Inventory.
The reason he didn't learn it now is because he wasn't sure what the effect would be. So to avoid that risk, he would do so later, somewhere safe.
The chest then closed, and Draco left them as he was heading towards the door, planning to see what this banquet was all about before heading back to his estate.
Alexander and his wives also got up, still smiling, as they got back to talking between themselves after the book was stored.
"What is it you want to say, young lady?" The service wanted to say something but couldn't, so Draco looked at her and asked.
"Ah... umm, the chests are a gift from our humble establishment to you, dear guest, you can take them with you." The service lady, caught off guard by Draco's question, put her hands between her legs as she looked down nervously and said.
Dravo raised an eyebrow, and after a few seconds of silence, which had Alexander's wives looking at Draco with a very judgmental look, he stored the chests and turned to head towards the door.
Alexander's wives sighed, and some looked at each other with slight smiles, content that Draco wasn't as bad as they thought; however, the others had sad faces as they thought of the fate of such a young girl.
"I have no such plans, Young Lady." were the last words he said before he left the room.
The service lady almost fell to the floor, not believing that what she feared didn't happen.
"Thank You! Thank You!" Tears fell down her throat as she expressed her gratitude to Draco repeatedly, not just for sparing her but also for giving her more time to accept her fate.
Whether Draco did what this devious job required her to oblige if she was ever asked to or not, it didn't stop the next Super VIP from refraining.
--------------------------------------------------------
The banquet wasn't far, and as the second Draco and Co. reached the teleporter, they appeared right next to a ton of guests heading towards the large hall where the normal banquet was organized.
But being Super VIPs had other benefits, as a guide immediately came before the group and bowed politely before he led them all the way to another hall connected to the first exclusive to VIPs.
The well-lit hall, the red carpet, the high ceiling, and the design were things money could surely never buy, as the materials and genius required for such a work of art were rare to find.
Draco and Alexander's group were all stunned by the beauty of the room. There were tables all around where all kinds of delicacies were put out for the guests to enjoy. The VIPs, who knew each other, were talking in groups while drinking and laughing together.
The waiters distributing the wine were in black and white uniforms with golden streaks, symbolizing their affiliation with the Golden Sun auction.
When Draco and the group entered the hall, many eyes were directed at them as the news quickly spread and people were already aware of Draco, as well as The Anomaly.
When the group found their spot and a waiter came to give them their drinks, people started to approach them one by one.
However... Draco was more interested in the Beastmen.
