Chapter 136: End Of The Battle!
But... what was waiting for her... Was worse than what she just went through.
What waited for Leona at the end of the path... was hell itself.
After who knew how many years in the white room, she had to walk for longer on the dark path, and by the end...
She reached purgatory! People screaming for dear life, hellish temperatures, cut off heads, burning coal on the floor, and... overseers.
Overseers in the form of giant eyes with dark wings gazed at her the second she reached her location.
She looked down at those getting punished and up at the overseers, and she fell on her knees.
"Why? Why is this happening to me?" Blood flew out of her eyes uncontrollably as dark hands were sent down by the overseers to catch her all around, not giving her any chance at escaping.
"What did I do? It wasn't supposed to be like this. Why? Why? Why?" And she was ruthlessly dragged into the unknown.
Nobody knew what she was going through, nobody felt what she was going through, and nobody saw what she was going through aside from a single being.
He who sent her down this path of [Endless Nightmares].
'This is more like it; do I add anything else?" Draco had his hand on his chin as he looked at Leona, going through what she was going through while thinking to himself.
Truthfully, she had done nothing for her to go through this, but Draco was feeling that things were getting more and more boring as the days went and somewhere around the time he was conquering the empire, he made this skill and was waiting for a chance to use it.
It was just that he spent most of his time being a good dad and a nice partner to use it, and now that he had a chance, he did.
After all, at the end of the day, he was a demon and not a polite, handsome man.
His soul had been burning for some chaos ever since he evolved, and it was about time he looked for it, even if only a little.
The crowd on the arena looked at the lioness, who was unconscious with her head right on the dirt ground.
The battle ended, and Draco sat down right where he was while a team of healers was sent by the guild staff to take care of Leona.
A new legend of Draco was going to start with her, as the number one Lord Adventurer was completely overpowered by this newbie, 'Transcendent'.
Seeing Leona getting transported by the healers, he removed the influence of his skill and even tweaked it a little bit to not leave her traumatized, as finding such a talented ally was hard to find for Draco.
He was going to have her by his side as a subordinate for the battle to come as well as those after it, and he didn't want her losing her mind over a little mental illusion.
It only took 20 minutes for Leona to get up. and the first thing she did was come to Draco and look at him, who was sitting cross-legged
After taking a deep breath and cracking his head, Draco got up, cleaned his behind, and looked straight at her.
Leona looked right in his eyes for a few seconds before she brought her hand up.
Draco looked into her eyes and felt a hidden sense of fear towards him, which she tried to conceal. and looked down at her hands, proceeding to do the same.
"You won, so I will keep my word, Group Leader." As the two waved their hands, she said.
"Good to hear that." Draco smiled slightly and said.
"You didn't have to do that, though." bringing her hand back, Leona crossed her arms and looked to her sides, trying to look wronged.
"Do what?" Draco asked with closed eyes and a smile, as if he didn't know what she was talking about.
Hearing Draco's words, a few glints of what she went through surfaced in her mind as she flinshed in fear.
"Nevermind, forget that. When are we going to officially form the party?" she asked, looking at Draco.
"Let's do it now and also take our first mission." Draco replied as he walked towards the teleporting pad, leaving Leona slightly behind him.
The lioness looked at him and then at her hammer, which she threw somewhere back before she proceeded to get it back and follow him.
The crowd looked at the duo, who were already getting comfortable at each other, in silence.
The fight was much better than anything they've watched in ages and they would definitely remember it and Draco for many years to come.
Such entertainment was rarer than a Divine Pardon in this hellish realm.
A few minutes later, the crowd also dispersed, and those standing in front of the guild building to watch the show also separated to do their work.
Elfina, who had the chance to briefly hear of Draco's victory, sighed in relief and smiled while thinking, 'He did it.'
Draco and Leona appeared in the guild hall, and they immediately walked towards the staff counter.
One of the staff looked at Leona and then at Draco, and he saluted them with a smile.
"What would you like me to help you with today?" He asked.
Draco replied that they wanted to form a party with him as the leader and the staff quickly worked on that.
A few minutes later, the party was formed.
"Now now, let's look for our first mission, shall we?"
