Chapter 182: Can I Call You Dad?
'This is hindering my goals... I should find a way to get rid of her.' He thought, but then again... did she really?
This was nothing but Draco's clone, and at some point in time where he guessed he had no choice but to keep this little cute doll company, he summoned another clone of his to keep researching.
His goal of conquest was going smoothly, and once the anti-celestials came knocking on their door and leave, he would pop right out of the bubble, if Palkus did his job right enough by then for Draco to become a lesser celestial, of course.
So, was Antita really a burden on his path? If anything, she was exactly what Draco needed—an actual attachment to someone—someone he would kill for.
Of course, Draco did not know of this; all he saw right now was that she was an annoying little kid who wasted his time and made him feel useless feelings, but in truth, it was another piece of the puzzle he needed to further grow as a person.
"Alright." After thinking about it for a second, he thought that it wasn't too bad of an idea, veiling the true reality that he couldn't refuse her request.
Antita, hearing Draco speak, got up and looked at Draco with teary eyes.
"You can... You can call me dad." It was hard for Draco to say it, but he did in the end. For some reason, seeing her cry annoyed him more than anything else.
Draco wasn't dumb; he knew what was going on with him; he could understand what he was feeling right now; he was just too proud to acknowledge it.
He was getting attached to Antita.
"Really?" Antita's face beamed in happiness when she heard this; she couldn't believe it.
"Y- Mhm." Draco nodded, annoyance obvious on his face, but the little doll couldn't see or understand that.
"Thank you, dad!" Antita once again jumped into his arms.
"Hehe, Hehehe." Giggles could be heard from time to time as Draco once again looked absent-minded; just this time, he was dealt deadly damage.
'Ah... I'm done for.'
--------------------
It had been two years since Palkus finished his training under his master; now his parents were far away and he found himself alone with nothing but the mission their lord bestowed upon him.
Draco instructed him to take the first 2 years at ease, get back with old friends, learn new things about the world and set his plans. So, up until now, he hasn't achieved anything.
But he was already an S-Rank and the only reason he hasn't reached a higher realm is because the condition this time required him to go to the dwarfelven continent.
Why was it like this? It's because Draco didn't just want Palkus to become the Monarch of Portalia; he wanted him to achieve as many crazy feats as possible before he even went to prison, so Palkus was taught the art of alchemy, smithing, technology, and many other professions that Draco beyond excelled at, thus why Palkus' conditions were for him to become the new Alchemy King and Blacksmith King.
Today was the day Palkus moved on from his home continent and took the boat straight for the dwarfelven continent. It didn't take long for them to arrive—a few days at most.
After the relations between the surface-dwellers and the ocean world were formed, the world became more peaceful than ever, and traveling all around the world, which was considered an impossibility during Draco's time here, was now nothing but a matter of buying a ticket.
"Oh wow. So this is the Dwarfelven continent." Getting out of the boat, Palkus was welcomed by a view he had never seen before. The style of the buildings, the races of the people going about and even the atmosphere around him were different.
Recalling his memory, Palkus tried to get the exact location he was in so he could know where he should go.
It didn't take long for him to do so, and without waiting, he walked all the way to the guild.
He had a storage skill, as unlike the blessing Draco got from Fate, the blessing of Chaos was wide-ranging; in fact, Draco just gifted him his {Chaos Language}, which was more than enough for Palkus to go crazy. However, unlike Draco, Palkus didn't have many affinities, so Draco was forced to buy quite a few affinity stones that he gave the young goman.
The streets of the coastal city were bustling with people from all kinds of races—elves, dwarves, demons, witches, humans, and every other race.
Even beastmen who couldn't be found on any continent, but the Central one changed their minds as they preferred to take the path of the gomen and traverse the world in order to gain experience before traversing to the prison realm rather than staying in one place.
Out of all these races, there were tourists—those who lived and worked here—and, like the beastmen and gomen, those who came to take on challenges.
And now Palkus was one of them.
Along the way, many gazes turned in his direction, as a gomen with black hair and golden eyes had never been seen before, making everybody wonder if he was some kind of evolved gomen who had reached yet another milestone. Or at least the attentive and knowledgeable thought so, most of the others were girls who were stunned by the young lad's beauty and confidence.
Reaching the wide gates of the guild, the young lad opened the doors for the familiar hall to appear, although lacking the technological touch.
