Chapter 115 Guidance
\'I will ask Varon about the treasury later, but for now, let\'s ask him about the Magical Fruits and which one he thinks is the best choice for me.\' Alex thought as he opened the Ruler Shop and selected the replication and evolution fruit.
"Varon, I want your guidance on which Magical Fruit will be the best choice for me and could provide both short- and long-term benefits," Alex asked as he made the floating windows visible to everyone.
The system windows were private by default, but they could be shared with others by a single and even become public, letting everyone around the user see his system screen.
Alex had no clue that Varon could easily see the system window even when it was in private mode, and he wouldn\'t know about it until he discovered it by accident or was told by someone.
"Domain Ruler, do you want me to advise between these two Magical Fruits, or are you open to my suggestions?" Varon asked after looking at the system window with a quick glance.
"I am open to any of your suggestions," Alex replied, knowing Varon would advise him from his experience and knowledge.
"Domain Ruler, Did you consider the Unknown Ancient bloodline fruit?" Varon asked.
"I did, but there is just too much unknown about it, making it very risky, so taking the risk when I don\'t need to is just idiotic," Alex replied.
Alex didn\'t select the bloodline fruit even though he knew that the domain would not give him anything useless and would give him the most suitable of things, but still, he couldn\'t convince himself to take the risk when other less risky options were available.
Alex knew that the bloodline fruit Varon asked about was the same one he eliminated, but he still opened it in a separate system window for him to see.
"It is a good decision with logical thinking, but I will tell you what I know about the bloodline fruit, and then you can decide if it is worth it or not," Varon replied in his friendly tone.
\'The bloodline fruit must be something special for Varon to even consider explaining about it.\' Alex thought, happy with not selecting fruit in his moment of greed.
Alex knew that he was so close to selecting the replication ability fruit, and if he had selected it, then there was no going back as the Rulers gift was not refundable or exchangeable, making him stuck with his decision and probably regret it in the future.
"The bloodline fruit is unique among all the available fruits because it doesn\'t give a predetermined bloodline, but a bloodline that will be different from Ruler to Ruler."
\'I was hoping he would tell me about the exact nature of the bloodline, but it looks like my theory about it being different from Ruler to Ruler was correct.\' Alex thought, disappointed by the information.
\'I know the domain would not give me something useless, but to my understanding, an unknown bloodline is still a gamble because I will be stuck with it for the rest of my life, and I am not willing to make such a big decision with so many risks.\' Alex thought.
Alex didn\'t want to choose the bloodline fruit because he knew any bloodline would permanently alter his life.
Alex knew that a high Ranking bloodline would give him numerous benefits and provide many advantages, but there would also be disadvantages.
"Only Two Rulers had chosen the bloodline fruit to this day as their Ruler gift, and each of them has received a different bloodline that suited them perfectly."
"I will briefly explain about the Both of the Rulers and what bloodline they received to make it easier for you to understand and help to make your decision more clearly," Varon said.
"The Fourth Ruler [Gaillard Ehrhard] had great talent in the element of Death, and he was the first Ruler to select the bloodline fruit in hopes of changing his Race to something more gifted in Mana."
"The Fourth Ruler was born on the Terbis Continent in the Great Inanos Family as the son of the family patriarch."
\'I wonder if it is a hidden Continent?\' Alex thought, hearing a new continent name.
"The Terbis Continent is different from the seven commonly known continents, and it is located in a remote area of the world, with the closest continent to it being the elf Continent," Varon said, knowing Alex would be curious about the new continent.
"As the young master of a great family, the fourth Ruler was taught about magic from a very young age, and because of his great natural talent, he reached Fourth Rank at the age of fifteen."
\'The fourth Ruler should be a monster in human skin to have reached the Fourth Rank at a tender age of just fifteen.\' Alex thought, surprised by the crazy progression speed.
Alex was surprised because it was common knowledge among the NPCs that it was much harder for even talented individual to advance their strength before their bodies reached the age of maturity.
The age of maturity was different for every Race, and for humans, it was between 16 to 18.
"The fourth Ruler\'s progression after reaching the fourth Rank became much slower not because of his body not being mature enough to handle the process of elemental refining but because of his Human Race."
"The Human Race is gifted with excellent adaptability, allowing them to become great mages like the Elves or be legendary blacksmiths like the dwarfs but being good in everything has its advantages and disadvantages,"
"The Human bodies are one such disadvantage as it is not very gifted in adapting to mana, making them progress their strength at a much slower rate compared to the gifted races like elves and dragons."
"The disadvantage is not a problem for 99% of the human Race as they will never be talented enough to be troubled by it, but for the talented individuals who have great talent, it becomes a hindrance making them progress their strength at a much slower pace."
\'This is really funny as all my life I believed that being less talented was a problem, but ironically, being too talented will also have its problem.\' Alex thought.
"The Fourth Ruler understood his human Limits would only get worse as he progressed, so to find a solution to his problem, he left his home on a journey to a solution, and at the age of seventeen, he discovered the Legacy Tomb of the First Ruler."
"Sir Erebus, Selected Gaillard as the fourth Ruler, and as his Ruler gift, The fourth Ruler selected the bloodline fruit in the hopes of getting a bloodline gifted in mana," Varon said, and after a short pause, he continued his explanation.
"The Fourth Ruler received the bloodline of [Noxis High Elf], who are incredibly gifted in mana, but their best attribute was their great mastery over the death element."
"The Fourth Ruler\'s natural talent was improved after his Race change, and even though it was speculated that he received the bloodline that best suited his wishes, but without more information, it was impossible to confirm it," Varon said.
"Domain Ruler, You have any questions," Varon asked, and after seeing Alex shake his head in refusal, he continued with his explanation.
Alex had many questions he wanted to ask but knowing that the explanation was yet to be completed, he patiently waited to gain more information about the bloodline fruit.
"The Bloodline fruit was selected next by the seventh Ruler in the hope that the Fourth Ruler hypothesis was correct."
"The Seventh Ruler [Alzryntyt Ylzrim] was a Dragon born from parents belonging to Nature and Dark dragon clans, granting him great talent in Dark and Life elements."
"The Seventh Ruler selected the fruit in hopes of obtaining Dragon Progenitor Bloodline, and even though he failed in obtaining it, but the theory that the bloodline fruit provides a bloodline according to one\'s desire was still confirmed."
"The Seventh Ruler didn\'t obtain what he wanted, but he still obtained the next best thing as he obtained the Bloodline of [Ancient Colossal Dragon] who were the first descendants of the Dragon Progenitor."
"The Seventh Ruler didn\'t obtain the bloodline of the Dragon Progenitor because the bloodline that could be gained from magical fruit was limited to the \'Ancient\' Grade\' and the bloodline of the progenitor was of a much higher grade."
"I believe this should help you make a better decision, and if you have any questions about the bloodline fruit or anything else, please let me know. I will answer then to the best of my ability." Varon said, concluding his explanation.
