Wisp! Awaken in the Magical World

Chapter 59: So Much Fun

Connor just smiled and put his arm over Alvin\'s shoulders. "Stop the bullshit. It is not like I\'m going there to die, you know? Don\'t say things that will jinx it."

"Very well," Alvin smiled and didn\'t persist.

A few minutes later, Connor took another Airship with many other Maguses, including some from the Academy. Alvin looked around and could see that even more of the Academy\'s Maguses and Familiars were entering other Airships with the soldiers and their Familiars.

In the end, he sighed and looked at the information regarding his departure. After finding his Airship, he entered it with Linfel and Felia. Still, he quickly noticed there were a few more students from the Academy there as well. This Airship was going back to the Academy, so these people were being sent back as well.

"All Classes Rank A and B Students and Familiars," Linfel commented.

"Really?" Alvin looked back at Linfel.

Felia understood why. "You know how it works, master. Most of the students in Classes Rank A and B have deep backgrounds with very strong Maguses and Familiars."

"I see..." Alvin didn\'t need to hear more than that.

Since a war started, that means the top experts and organizations of the country will have to play accordingly. These same players obviously are guaranteed some advantages. For example, for them to agree to fight, they can force the country to accept their requests and have their children not take part in it. In that case, if they die, they will have their descendants to take over.

Simply put, the only students of the Academy who will be sent to the war are those without much importance.

Alvin didn\'t say anything and sat on one of the empty seats. In this situation, it was obvious that all the soldiers in Sky Island would stay. So, the airship was pretty much empty. Not long after that, the Airship took flight and headed back to the city.

Arriving at the city, Linfel noticed many airships heading out and arriving at the academy nonstop. The ones that arrived were always empty, while the ones that left were full. With a coalition of three countries attacking Heffal, there was no way they could hold back. Heffal had to call all its Maguses and Familiars, regardless of how young they were.

Linfel\'s group left the Airship and headed into the academy. As for the other students that came with them, they turned around and headed out of the academy. Many vehicles were waiting for them, all sent by their families or organizations.

Sometime later, Alvin, Felia, and Linfel arrived back in Xalafel\'s office. Xalafel wasn\'t there, though. The one in charge at that moment was Litivia, the vice-principal. "Sigh... you are finally back. That is good, that is good..."

"Where is Principal Xalafel?" Alvin couldn\'t help but ask.

"Where else?" Litivia answered as she got up from her chair. "He was sent to fight in the war as well. He is one of the few Level Five Maguses of the country, after all. Meanwhile, I was put in charge of the affairs of the Academy. Well, there isn\'t much for me to do now, though. Pretty much all the students have been drafted, with only a few with enough connections sent home."

"Yes, we saw it on the way here. The Academy is getting very empty," Linfel spoke. "Anyway, let\'s get to business. What are we supposed to do?"

Litivia shrugged. "It is very simple. You are to stay in the academy until everything is over."

Alvin narrowed his eyes. "So we are hiding?"

"Yes," Litivia didn\'t deny it. "You can use Double Master Familiar Connection. Before we have more information regarding it and can use you in the competition in the future, we can\'t afford to lose you."

"Master, it is great!" Felia cheered. "You don\'t like to fight or get in dangerous situations anyway. This is perfect."

Linfel agreed. "She is right. For once, you will get your wish and won\'t be forced to take part in anything dangerous. I can already imagine how happy you are."

"I..." Alvin was taken aback. Indeed, he was just like Connor. They did all they could to not get involved in anything that could be dangerous. Shouldn\'t it be exactly what he wants? "I understand..."

Litivia smiled, although she didn\'t look that happy. How could she? It was war, after all. "Good. It is all bad news for you, though. Now that the country is being changed into a war machine, many restrictions have been lifted.

I will be able to provide you with as many Magic Energy Stones as you need with the pretext of using them for the war. Make good use of them to train and increase your level."

Linfel was obviously happy to hear that. "Great! Please find us Red Magic Stones. Can you?"

"I already sent a hundred to your room earlier," Litivia already expected that. "Use as you see fit. Also, the academy is getting quite empty, so all the facilities are available for use. There is no need for you to pay anything."

"Thanks," Alvin spoke, still somewhat lost. "Senior Litivia, can you help me with my father? Would be okay to bring him to the academy?"

"I will arrange that he is brought to live with you here for the time being," Litivia had to keep Alvin and his Familiars safe, so allowing Alvin\'s father to stay would be another guarantee Alvin wouldn\'t try to leave.

They spoke for a while longer, and Alvin was finally allowed to return to his room. There, he saw a box in front of his room. It was the type that sealed Magic Energy inside. Checking the contents, he felt the brimming Magic Energy coming out and the red color. They were all Low-Grade Red Magic Stones, which would be considered a dream to someone like Alvin.

Alvin entered the room with Linfel and Felia and sat on his bed. Even the Magic Stones didn\'t seem to improve his mood.

"Master, are you worried about Connor?" Felia asked.

Alvin nodded. "That\'s for sure... but it is not just that."

Linfel took several of the Red Magic Energy stones inside the box excitedly. "Hahaha! So much Magic Energy. Let\'s go! We will start our training straight away."

Alvin looked at him, not liking his behavior. "Doesn\'t the war bother you at all?"

"Nope!" Linfel shook his head. "Compared to what Horan made me go through, a war of such a small scale is not enough for me to be concerned."

"Small... scale?" Alvin and Felia were taken aback.

Linfel thought about the past and spoke. "There was once when Horan received the information that the Zaifan Clan got into a war against the Klondaus Sect. Both powers controlled two solar systems close to each other and had trillions of experts. After some point, the resources were not enough for either side, so one of them had to go down."

Linfel then put the Red Magic Stones around himself, ready to use them. "Horan, that idiot, looked at me and said: Well, they will all be in need of as much Primordial Energy as possible. I guess a Wisp will be a nice snack. I\'m sending you to survive on one of the planets affected by the war for a week. Do your best."

Linfel seemed to get angry just thinking about that. "I couldn\'t even argue. He simply grabbed me and left me on a planet called Gogofis. I lost count of how many times I escaped the fate of being captured. By the time I finally survived a week, he came back and laughed at my face and said: \'Hahaha! You seem distressed.

And here I thought you were having fun.\'"

"Fun? FUN?!" Linfel almost exploded in Alvin\'s room. "HIS ASS! I wanted to beat him so badly... Unfortunately, he was still too strong for someone like me. I hope he is still alive!

I will not forget it! THERE WILL BE PAY BACK!"

Alvin and Felia looked at Linfel with weird expressions, causing Linfel to calm down again. "A-Ahem... Anyway, compared to that war he forced me to participate in, this one you guys are going through truly looks like nothing but child\'s play."

"Of course, I\'m not saying you shouldn\'t care. A war is still a war. Many will die, no doubt," Linfel continued. "If I could, I would prevent it from happening. But, at the same time, this is obviously an opportunity. We should use it well."

Alvin wondered if Horan, who Linfel spoke about so many times, was truly Linfel\'s friend, as he always said. "So I should take this opportunity and train. I understand. I will try to focus on leveling up and nothing else."

"Hum? What are you talking about?" Linfel looked at him, puzzled.

Alvin and Felia were even more puzzled. "Didn\'t you just say we should use this opportunity?"

"I did," Linfel nodded with a smile. "What better opportunity to train in real Life and Death situations are there other than wars? We are obviously taking part in it! It will be so much fun!"

Alvin and Felia were speechless. The wisp had just complained about Horan talking about fun during his time, so how can he say it will be fun now? Something definitely wasn\'t right in that wisp\'s mind.
