Chapter 18: Their Moment To Shine [1]
Xander Frost, with his striking white hair and piercing blue eyes, stood as a paragon of unrivaled power and prowess.
His very presence commanded respect and awe.
A character that fit the saying,
"Throughout heaven and earth, I alone I'm the honored one..."

[Ding!]
[Constellation's Insight cannot be used on this character!]
'As expected...
Xander Frost, the game's main character.
Someone who transcends in power.
Atleast when it comes to the academy's students and even professors.'
"Take your step at the paltform and give it your best..."
Professor Sharon advised Xander.
"Oh...uh, okay."
Xander responded nervously.
'It kind of pisses me off even more...
Why?
Because right now, Xander is just a guy trying to find his place in this world.
In other terms, he is still the sweet, kind and helpful Xander.
Unlike the other main characters, Xander isn't from any noble house.
Be it prestigious or Count.
Xander is actually a commoner.
A small family living in the outskirts of the city, one wouldn't say they are badly off.
But just well enough to get food on their table.
Xander had only gotten admission because of showing incredible magical prowess.
That led him into acquiring a scholarship here.
With that face, ofcourse anyone would want to meet any of his needs.
Right now, he and the others don't know each other yet.
Especially he and Rylan.
But they'll get acquainted as the story progresses.
And after fighting alongside each other and the arrival of the 4th Constellation, the other characters will corrupt Xander.
At first it was hard to realise it, but thinking it all through I can actually see how it happened.
Back then, all players were busy staring at the monitor and engrossing themselves in fight scenes.
Some even skipped the most important cut scenes.
Even if I tried to stop all that from happening, there is no use.
The game [Beyond Horizons] is built in a way that the most important and crucial Acts and Scenarios must take place.
Even if another variant is added.
Well atleast upto 3 variants.
Anymore than that and the story will go haywire.
If that happens, it'll be hard to predict or oversee the future as it was supposed to.
My knowledge will become utterly useless.
Hopefully I'm the only one who got transmigrated into this game.
If there are anymore, they'll cause unintended changes.
Tsk...I never thought about this.
*Sigh...I can only hope for the best and expect the worse.
Even so, killing them is still the end goal.
But first, I need to graduate atleast.'
While Noah was reminiscing all this Xander had taken a stance.
The look on his face was saying that he didn't know what ability to use.
After thinking for a while, Xander clenched his fists.
As soon as he did so, his fists were engulfed in a blue flame.
With a swift motion, he dashed at the crystal, almost completely disappearing and reappearing again.
*Boom!
The crystal had completely shattered.
Everything seemed to happen in slow motion as of the moment.
Some were lost in what just happened.
Professor Sharon's mouth was wide open, as soon as she noticed this, she shut it.
She was lost for words.
Xander was scratching his head, smiling nervously.
"Did I overdo it?..."
Xander muttered.
"No..."
"No,no..no not at all..."
Professor Sharon was hesitant to reply.
She didn't know what to say as she ushered Xander to return to his seat.
Rylan took a glance at Xander as he returned.
'Ofcourse he's taken a liking to him,' Noah thought.
It's strange how everything is happening as per the original storyline.
Sometimes I be thinking if Noah, the unnamed character who I've assumed was ever around in the game.
If he was, maybe too insignificant to notice or rather viewed as an npc.
If he didn't, then I'm just a variant.'
Once again, the crystal was restored to its former structure.
"Is that guy for real?"
"What the hell..."
"How does someone shatter an entire magic crystal like it's nothing..."
"The school's crystal was probably getting old anyway..."
"That explains it then..."
Professor Sharon continued reading through the list as people came up, showcased their abilities and returned to their seats.
But noone came close to what the 5 individuals had showcased.
'At this point, it doesn't even matter...
Because the person who will get to be the Blessed Sage is none other than...'
Noah took a glance as he thought.
'Amy Bluerose...'
Unbeknownst to her, Amy was busy looking back at Xander.
Her eyes spoke of either being slightly attracted to Xander or seeing him as a rival.
'Their rivalry will be the most insane one there ever was in Ravenwood...'
Noah thought.
Noah took a glance at Maya who was sitted elegantly holding a notebook.
That notebook was what had Noah's schedules and daily plans.
She was his assistant after all.
Atleast an undercover one.
Unlike the student's blazers, Maya's had red outlines at the collar.
Indicating that she's an assistant or any other personnel from a noble house.
Now that Noah was looking at it, there were similar attires in the hall.
All main characters had one except Xander.
