The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

Chapter 34 - 34: Pharmacy Manual (Please continue reading!)

After Rainbow learned the Seven-Greedy Calm Mind technique, David Jones and Rainbow began their monotonous cultivation life of shuttling back and forth between just two locations.

Every day, either they were meditating together in the apartment or practicing skills at the Trainer Guild’s Training Ground.

On the very first day, Rainbow’s Confusion skill went from Normal to Great.

David couldn’t help but be amazed at this.

Indeed, there is a reason why Calm Mind techniques are valued!

Ever since Rainbow acquired this Broken Calm Mind technique, the speed of cultivating Psychic Power through meditation increased by about one or two times, and even practicing Psychic type skills progressed at a rapid pace.

This low-level Calm Mind technique with such impressive effects made David feel like he had picked up a treasure.

On the second day, David and Rainbow attempted to learn the Class III Ice type skill, Ice Tornado, in the Ice and Snow training ground.

Unfortunately, after watching the demonstration of Ice Tornado in David’s mobile phone video, Rainbow couldn’t master it, and David’s effort ended in inevitable failure.

“It seems like there is a limit to Rainbow’s talents!” As David looked at Rainbow’s confused face at the time, he couldn’t help but let out a sigh in his heart.

It’s a pity that if Rainbow had been able to learn skills through videos, he could have saved a considerable amount of money on learning skills.

As it turned out, Rainbow didn’t learn the anticipated Ice Tornado that day. Instead, she accidentally learned another Class II Ice type skill, Polar Ice.

Polar Ice is a field-covering skill that can create a large area of snow at a small cost of physical energy, creating an Ice type environment suitable for pets.

Typically, Ice type pets with a Species Level of Superior or above can learn this skill. However, David didn’t expect Rainbow to learn this signature skill during her Fresh stage.

Because of this unexpected joy, David spent the night downloading dozens of

Ice type skill tutorial videos onto his phone.

He planned to show them to Rainbow during their training, in hopes that she might learn a few more Ice type skills by chance.

As for Psychic type skills, David couldn’t find any. These techniques didn’t have tutorial videos on the internet.

On the third day, having tasted success, David continued to learn skills at the

Trainer Guild with Rainbow.

Regrettably, even after watching dozens of Ice type skill tutorial videos, Rainbow couldn’t learn a single new Ice type skill that day.

Instead, Rainbow’s Ice Thorn and Ice Concealment skills reached the Excellent level.

At this, David could only let out a helpless sigh. He realized that Rainbow learning new skills depended on luck, just as absurd as him relying on videos for teaching.

However, David had no choice. If he were to learn skills at an Ice type Gym, a single skill would cost at least tens of thousands of Star coins, with some even costing hundreds of thousands of Star coins.

He couldn’t afford such expenses with his current bank balance of only slightly more than a hundred thousand Star coins, especially considering he still had Rainbow’s loan to repay.

On the fourth day, David ran out of Vitality Powder and went to the Elixir Cauldron Apothecary to buy a few more packs.

However, this time he didn’t see the old Healer he had met before, so he and Rainbow continued their meditation and cultivation at home.

That night, while David was busy Strengthening Rainbow, his phone buzzed with a message.

After finishing the Strengthening, David checked the message and couldn’t help but smile.

Melody Guan: “There are four Titanium Ragdolls in the mall that need Identify tomorrow. Do you have time to do it?’

“Of course, I have time. Can I trouble you to keep an eye out for more Ragdolls that need Identify in the mall, Melody?”

David tentatively replied, asking for her help.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and he didn’t want to go broke. On the other end, Melody Guan looked at the message from David and her innocent face revealed a hint of curiosity. She didn’t expect David to be so short on money.

If that was the case, why didn’t he accept CEO Louise’s invitation?

If it were her, she would have clung tightly to Mistress Rosalind’s soft and fragrant thighs; even wavering for a second would be a sign of disrespect to her admiration for Rosalind.

Melody Guan’s fingers twitched slightly, and she immediately replied: “Don’t worry, I’m keeping them for you.”

Seeing the “thank you” message on her phone after a short while, Melody furrowed her brows slightly.

If it weren’t for her mistress’s bizarre focus on David Jones, Melody wouldn’t treat him so politely.

The next morning, the bright sunlight streaming in through the windows filled the office with warmth.

David’s left hand played with the paw of a sleepy-eyed Titanium Ragdoll cat, while his right hand tugged at the ears of another slightly unhappy Titanium Ragdoll cat.

This time, to prevent Rainbow from getting jealous, he had put her into the

Star Ring early on.

Embracing all four Titanium Ragdoll cats, David felt extremely content.

“It’s just a pity that there’s still no outstanding Gold Ragdoll among them.” After petting the ragdoll cats, David shrugged helplessly, seemingly feeling a trace of regret.

“Clack clack clack,” the crisp sound of high heels echoed throughout the office.

Hearing the familiar sound, David looked up only to see his future mentor Rosalind Louise and her secretary coming towards him.

Rosalind, dressed in a black, figure-hugging suit that accentuated her stunning figure, walked over and sat down beside David.

“How are you preparing? The Doll Cup is less than three months away,” Rosalind’s cool, seductive voice resounded beside David’s ear.

David caught a whiff of a faint fragrance nearby, unsure if it was body scent or perfume.

He replied softly with a smile, “Who else could be the champion of the Doll Cup but me?”

Sensing the confidence in David, Rosalind appeared slightly lost in thought. She wouldn’t mock a young man with a clear goal but felt a tinge of regret.

“What do you want to learn from me?” she asked curiously.

“I want to become a pharmacist.” David stared at Rosalind with eager eyes, his gaze full of unwavering certainty.

“Is that so?” Rosalind murmured, barely audible.

She then smiled, “This is my Pharmacist Basic Knowledge Manual, filled with my insights on primary pharmacists and elixir formulas.”

A glorious gleam flashed across Rosalind’s Star Ring as a brand new Pharmacy Notebook appeared in her hand.

David’s eyes lit up instantly, his gaze following the notebook as it swayed in Rosalind’s hand.

Feeling somewhat bored, Rosalind tossed the notebook to David, her seductive, enticing voice ringing out.

“Here, take this. If you happen to win the championship at the Doll Cup, I can save some effort.”

“Thank you, Master.”

David quickly caught the notebook with both hands and, seizing the opportunity, changed his address from “Sister Rosalind” to “Master.” Rosalind frowned when she heard this, unaccustomed to the form of address, she coldly replied,

“You can save the word ‘Master’ for now. You can call me that only after you’ve become the champion!”

At this point, Rosalind’s secretary, Melody Guan, who had been ignored for quite some time, also knitted her brows, wanting to scold the shameless young man in front of her.

But in the end, she helplessly released her tightly clenched fists in her sleeves. Inside, it felt like she had swallowed several pounds of lemons, sour and unbearable..
