Chapter 165: Imbalance In Source
'But the death part seems more congested with life…wait…Life and Death source…ah, so that's why.'
He stood up and wore his armor set before flying out and quickly teleporting a few times to reach the wilderness.
Soon, he encountered a level 179 giant wolf with four eyes and ferocious black spiky fur crackling with lightning. It was eating a beast that it had killed and was a hundred meters away from Erix with several thick trees between them.
Erix had found it via his Space Mapping, so the wolf hadn't noticed him yet.
Without hesitation, Erix threw a powerful 200-mana Sling Shot punch that directly connected to the unsuspecting wolf's head, who had no idea about the attack.
*Squash!*
Its head exploded, and it died instantly.
Erix appeared beside the wolf after a swift teleportation and sat down cross-legged before entering deep focus.
He observed his cells and foundation as he could clearly feel something entering him when he focused.
It was entering from the wolf he killed, but nothing was entering from the already dead monster beside the wolf.
But when Erix completely understood this discovery, he got a sudden premonition that he was in very bad shape right now.
Not him, but his source, but if his source was in bad shape, then so was his entire future.
'There is an imbalance in my source,' Erix frowned. His cells were always energetic as they fed on death since he had the purest form of death in his source, allowing him to absorb death power every time he killed a living being.
And he had killed thousands upon thousands!
But Life was missing. His unique source, which was a mixture of life and death, had more death than life in it, making his source imbalanced.
Although death benefitted, Life was also essential because he was a hybrid, and he had to maintain this balance. If he wanted to reduce death and get more life, he would need more of Rin's and Lilith's essence while also giving them more of his source.
'Shit…No wonder I am feeling more horny and energetic,' Erix was speechless. After all, Death also benefitted him, but there was an imbalance in his source, and he had to fix it.
The only way he could release more Death part of his source was through intersource and shooting his semen, which was an energy that contained the highest form of his source!
He had to release more and then absorb resources that contained pure vitality!
"Jeez, what do I do?" Erix muttered as he opened his eyes and stood up.
"Lilith should know more about this. I'll have to discuss this with her when she wakes up. Oh yeah, she got that Leaf of Life crystal for me, but she said she had to mix it with other ingredients for maximum benefits…"
"But she likely doesn't know about this imbalance in my unique source."
Erix flew up and returned to the mansion.
But he had nothing to do for now, so he took out a comm card and called Lily.
[Lily: what's up?]
[Erix: If you are free, come to the terrace. I am searching for a material, and you might know about it.]
[Lily: Alright. I am done with my work anyway.]
Erix went up first, and Lily soon arrived in a minute as she sat at the table with Erix.
"So, what kind of material do you want?
"A material that contains a huge amount of powerful energy. It should be able to act as a core to produce stronger energy using our mana."
"So, basically like the materials used as cores of weapons?" Lily asked.
"Something like that, yeah," Erix nodded. "I also want to create a weapon."
"They are based on elements, you know? Which one you want?"
"Not any one particular," Erix shook his head. "I want something mixture and chaotic or a mixture of lightning and fire as they are most potent for explosive attacks."
"Hmmm," Lily entered a thoughtful stat for a few seconds as she browsed her memories.
"If you want that, then there is a Tier-4 material called Plasma Spark Ore," Lily said. "It's a mixture of lightning and fire, with its energy color being sparkling deep purple. It is used to create one-time use explosive items."
"Perfect!" Erix's eyes shone. Grinning, he said, "I want that."
"It won't be easy," Lily chuckled. "There's a mine of Plasma Spark Ore in the forest beside this city, but it's occupied by a guild. They exclusively use it and sell the explosive items."
"I'm sure they have a price for it," Erix frowned. "Won't they sell a chunk or two?"
Lily rolled her eyes. "Do you know the meaning of a Tier-4 material and Tier-4 one-time use item? It can potentially kill a Royal-order powerhouse if not careful, and most of the time, such an item can kill a Royla-order monster."
"That…you are right," Erix wryly smiled. "So that means that it is also a rare material."
"Exactly."
"Tsk, I want a chunk, though," Erix smacked his lips. "What should we do? Can Lilith get it?"
"She can, of course, get it," Lily smiled. "Nobody here is over Royal order. She is most powerful in this city, but no one knows that yet."
"Phew, then good. I'll tell her about this when she wakes up," Erix sighed a relief and grinned. "I definitely want that material to make my weapon."
Erix stood up and said, "Alright, let's go."
"Where?" Lily asked in confusion.
"You got money, right? Let's go and buy some materials. I want to practice creating normal items and weapons before fiddling with something like Tier-4 Plasma Star ore," Erix said with a laugh. "It will not be funny if I wasted a valuable Tier-4 material."
"That...is true. Alright, let's go."
Lily nodded.
"Don't worry, we don't need to buy main materials since I can create metals easily," Erix grinned. "We'll buy materials to make internal structure and Sigil formations."
"It's fine. I have enough money to even buy Tier-4 materials. If you can't create Tier-4 metals yet, we can buy a couple for you to practice."
"Oh? Then that would be great. I need to study Tier-4 metals to understand their structures and copy them anyway."
