Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen

Chapter 191: Tomb Severing

—> Severing Blade: Your blades are Severing Blades whose slashes will inflict 'Severum' on slash-hit. As long as you reach a certain amount of 'Severum' on anything, no matter how tough, you can sever it.

_Effect(s): —> All blade-related attacks deal 50% extra damage.

—> Your severing/slash attacks deal 50% extra damage.

'So it's like that…' Rin had emphasized severing/slashing in her skill techniques to new heights and combat with blades, so her Blade Concept broke through in that direction and manifested power based on that.

But Rin was more than happy about this because she envisioned her blade to be able to sever anything, be it magic, physical, or anything else.

She wanted to be able to sever anything she wished, though it would still take a long time to achieve that level of power. However, breaking through to 2nd realm of Blade Concept and acquiring Severing Blade was a prim and proper start for her vision.

'Wait, if I can sever anything…' Rin looked around the tomb. She wanted to try severing something tough!

"Rin? What's up?"

Erix emerged from the 2nd tomb after defeating his challenge in a jolly mood. He was having a lot of fun and improvement in his combat prowess. With Death and Space affinity in the fray with his level 4 Metal affinity, he wanted to refine his existing skills and make new skills, so combating was the best option to see what he lacked and wanted.

"Oh, Erix, hahaha. I reached 2nd realm in my Blade Concept, and it's awesome!"

"Severing Blade…Wow, this is powerful, Rin!"

"Yep. How's your Punch going?"

"Soon. I am only using Punches and striding toward 2nd realm of the Punch concept," Erix said before he laughed and wrapped his arms around her neck. "You want to try your Severing Blade?"

"You know me best," Rin slyly grinned and kissed him.

"Then…" Erix looked around before pausing his gaze on the tomb.

Rin followed his gaze and burst out laughing. "You're kidding me."

"Seem good," Erix grinned.

"Alright, this is probably the most tough thing here."

Both separated before Rin wielded her Blade Eater and transformed into Katana form.

*Slash!*

Nothing happened to where she hit her slash, but Rin saw something.

"Erix, can you see that?"

Erix confusedly looked at the tomb. He couldn't see any mark left behind by Rin's blade.

"Nothing. It seems that this tomb is indestructible by us, but that makes sense."

"Nope," Rin licked her lips and slashed again with a sharp smile.

14998.

There were two dreamy slashes on the same spot, but only Rin could see it. As for the number, Rin suspected that it was the number of slashes she needed to sever the tomb.

"Erix, I can see a number and strange mix of faint gold and faint red dreamy slashes on the spot where I slashed."

Rin turned to Erix and grinned before she added, "The number is 14,998 now after I slashed twice."

Erix raised his eyebrows, surprised. "So…after fourteen thousand nine-hundred ninety-eight slashes, you can sever this tomb?"

"Let's try and see."

"Noice."

Rin started slashing at her full speed by exerting her full physical strength and even transforming into her Bloodline form for more stats boost.

At her highest speed, she could slash 16 times per second, but it also consumed her stamina and mana faster.

'Fifteen thousand slashes at full physical exertion is not easy,' Erix thought as he saw Rin slashing her katana at blurring speed with lighting coursing through her body.

The total time it would take for her to slash would be fifteen minutes at this speed.

Klelia emerged from the 1st tomb after two minutes and was immediately shocked since Rin was slashing the 1st tomb.

Lily also emerged a couple of seconds later from the 2nd tomb.

Both started recovering their energies with Erix while watching Rin as Erix explained what Rin was doing.

"What if something bad happens when she severs this?" Lily muttered.

"No idea, but we'll see I guess," Erix laughed.

Lily wryly smiled, "Well, I also want to see."

Klelia wanted to challenge the 2nd tomb after recovering but decided to postpone it because of fear of something happening once Rin severed the 1st tomb.

Suddenly, Rin's blade glowed a bit, and her mana consumed a bit more. After she slashed 16 times in that second, she paused and took a deep breath.

"If I use a more powerful skill technique involving slashes than the initial ones I was doing, the number of Severum it inflicts increases more."

"Oh? How about you try your most powerful move and see what happens?" Erix curiously suggested.

"Yep."

Rin took a deep breath and stood in a simple stance after taking four steps back.

In the next second, she empowered herself to max with lightning by consuming 100 mana before her figure blurred forward, and her crackling katana slashed the tomb.

'Revolving Flow Slash.'

Her entire figure made a circular motion when she slashed her katana at the tomb. The skill-technique cost her 1000 mana, 1000 Blade energy, and a lot of stamina, along with the precise flow and procession of the energies to execute the skill-technique.

This high-speed double slash of the Revolving Flow Slash skill-technique inflicted a whooping 1293 Severums on the tomb with this skill.

"Not worth it," Rin wryly smiled. "I'll go with conservative slashes like before."

"How many Severums you inflicted?" Lily curiously asked.

"1293."

Everyone nodded. The skill was naturally powerful, but if she used Revolving Flow Slashes, she would quickly run out of mana and stamina. Instead, it would be better to use conservative slashes that consumed almost no mana or stamina because she was consuming both at a similar pace as her recovery speed of mana and stamina.

"I'll make one more Revolving Flow Slash and use Spirit Force to boost it this time."

Rin moved back again and executed the skill-technique again, but this time, she spent 1000 Spirit Force to boost the skill.

*Zoom!*

This time, the skill inflicted 1655 Severums on the tomb.

"1655 Severums," Rin raised her eyebrows, "It's a boost of…28 percent."

28% was a huge boost!

"We can make a formula based on this," Erix chuckled. "If it's twenty-eight percent, then your 341 Spirit Force plus 1000 Spirit Force is divided by 50, which should be the formula that gets you 28%."

"Yeah, that's correct," Rin nodded and started slashing the tomb again.

"Spirit stat is not bound to our magic source or origin source," Lily said. "If you want to increase Spirit stat, you will need either resources that increase spirit, which are the rarest kind of resources, or naturally increase it via other methods."

"Naturally?" Klelia questioned in confusion. "I just recently awakened my Spirit stat, so I was wondering how to increase it because I couldn't increase it using stat points like Magic."

Erix laughed and answered, "When Rin and I broke through in our affinities to 3rd realm, our Spirit stat increased automatically. I had more Spirit power than her because I managed to get to the 4th realm in my Metal affinity, but she caught up to me after getting her Blade concept to the 2nd realm."

"So you need to comprehend more stuff to increase it?" Klelia was surprised.

"You can also increase it via Spiritual Art or by doing something tough that stretches your mind and body to your limit," Lily said with a wry smile, "Although the second method is not something we should often do since it's situational and dangerous."

Time passed, and after several minutes, Rin stopped.

"Is it the last one?" Erix asked.

"Yep," Rin grinned. "You all should move back at the entrance in case something happens."

Erix walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her belly before hugging her from behind and putting his head on her shoulder. "I'll teleport us all out if something happens."

"Alright. Lily, Klei, hold on to him," Rin said as she raised her katana.

Lily and Klelia put their hands on Erix's shoulders before Rin made the last slash.

Meanwhile, they could also hear footsteps of people coming through the passage to arrive here, but it was too late as Rin slashed.

The Severum count reached 0 while all the dreamy slashes that only Rin could see shone and materialized in reality before a sharp aura spread out and severed the huge stone tomb into ten clean pieces.

*Shcriiiiiiii!!!*

Then, a loud screeching sound echoed throughout the cave before a powerful and nefarious aura oozed out from the broken tomb and manifested before the group.

Erix created a portal behind Klelia and Lily before he pushed himself behind while pulling Rin. Everyone escaped through the portal and arrived outside, falling right beside Lilith, who was sitting leisurely on the chair with a book in her hand.

However, Lilith was also no longer reading the book as her eyes were on the 2nd level cave's entrance.

She disappeared at full speed and arrived back with Reinala since it was her whose footsteps everyone heard in the cave. Lilith had sent her there after unsealing her power to peak Noble-order since Reinala was bored and pleaded to Lilith to let her challenge the Howling Tombs.

"What did you do?" Lilith turned to Erix and others, who got up and dusted themselves.

"We destroyed a tomb," Rin shrugged.

"And something emerged from it," Erix turned to the 2nd level of the cave.

"It will come out from there…probably," Lily wryly smiled.

*Screeeeeeee!!*

The whole cave shook at the loud and sharp screech, startling everyone in the huge cave as everyone looked at the 2nd level cave. They also glanced at Erix and others since they felt it was connected to them.

Soon, dark aura oozed out of the cave, making everyone's face somber and apprehensive.
