Chapter 225: Turbulent, Beginning of First Mark (4/8)
But deep in his eyes was a bright light bursting as he got the direction.
Erix felt he could somehow use this to get a significant boost in his attacks!
On the other hand, Rin thought the exact same thing as she remembered the topic of turbulence force.
Rin's Dissolution Flow was the magic of Lightning and Wind combining for ultra micro offense lights with time's help because time caused their flows to fasten or slow, which affected their structure. This could break down structures and literally dissolve them, hence called Dissolution Flow.
Her attack was mixed with the enemy's broken-down energies, and since her blade attack pulled those towards itself, the broken-down energies mixed up in her Chronace flow around the blade, turning into a turbulence flow that discharged when her blade stopped and struck the enemy.
That had caused devastating damage to her enemy and turned her hands into mush despite being protected by her Chronace Storm.
Turbulent motion was common and everywhere on every single scale out there. From atoms to cosmic-size phenomena like the Sun or planet-size flows in the universe, turbulence was there even in outer space. It was the first rule of chaos.
The main characteristics of turbulence were four:
1. Unpredictable: Erix tried to imitate flow but failed and couldn't produce that power again because he couldn't imitate the turbulence flow that was even deeper in his vigor energy.
2. Swirls on many scales: It was simply impossible with his current capabilities to sense these swirls within his energies when his vigor force was let loose during his execution. Erix couldn't even sense those swirls, so it was impossible to imitate them.
3. Diffusive: a turbulent flow can mix things. When Rin's Dissolution Flow dissolved the structure of her enemy's barrier, and it became a chaotic mess, it actually mixed up with her swinging blade surrounded by her Dissolution Flow. This mix-up created a turbulent flowing force around her blade that discharged into a potent attack upon striking her blade.
4. Dissipative: The turbulent flow could gather an unknown amount of energy depending on 'what' participated in its making and its 'scale' of size, but it was even more magical when it happened in supernatural energies. This was why Rin's and Erix's accidental attacks discharged a more powerful force according to their different conditions when the turbulent flow dissipated.
Rin had foreign energies mixed to create a turbulent flow, while Erix's random use of Vigor force created the turbulent flow for him.
Despite being on two different ends of the forest with no way to communicate, Rin and Erix started to think and experiment on how to apply 'Turbulence' to their attacks!
After all, even though it was impossible to predict and pre-create a flow that would produce a turbulent force, initiating a turbulent flow was easy!
Swing a hand in the air, you've created a turbulent airflow.
Naturally, it was more complicated to do that on a larger scale and in supernatural aspects, but Rin and Erix both saw different ways to apply this.
'I should make some simple broad formations to see if I can generate that force using Chronace flow...'
Rin's Chronace flow was suitable and made it easier for turbulent force to form—especially the lightning and wind aspects, the most common elements capable of causing turbulence in everyday life.
In the realm of magic, Rin felt she could find a way to generate turbulent-flowing force in her attacks to make them more powerful, just like how it happened against the Shade, but more proper.
Meanwhile, Erix wanted to use Vigor force to make it happen.
'If I want to generate a turbulent flow of energy using Vigor Force, I'll need a formation container and modify the formation greatly….'
Erix looked at the raging river. Its water turbulence was massive, but that was because the river was confined and contained on its path.
If he caused some big destruction to make the river flow into the forest, its turbulence flow would greatly reduce.
'A confinement is necessary, and the better the confinement and flow I generate within, the more potent my attack will become with Vigor force.'
'Vigor force…container….' Erix looked at his arms, entering a daze as he was getting ideas.
But at that moment, his senses suddenly rang with danger.
*Craaaa!*
Two dark blue sparkling snakes shot towards him from the river, one biting off his shoulder and the other entering a wormhole that Erix had barely created in time.
*BOOM*
The snake on his shoulder still exploded instantly, reducing his life Orb by 38% and causing severe injuries.
Right after that, the scenery around him changed as he arrived on a black sea with countless blue wiggly sparks gathering before him, forming into a male humanoid with wings and two large blades instead of hands.
only-found-at-MVLeMpYr
A Royal-order shade.
*Swoosh!*
Instantly, a rain of dark blue snakes shot towards Erix from the water.
Erix ferociously grinned as he vanished from his spot and teleported as far as he could.
The enemy dissolved into blue sparks and dived into water before chasing Erix at thirty times the speed of sound, catching him eventually and throwing attacks.
While Erix was running away with his tricks and dodging attacks, he was creating a formation in his arms.
His right arm had turned into pitch black with tiny patterns near his shoulders.
But those patterns were increasing in number each second as Erix intended to carve the magic pattern onto his metal arm before saving it.
He didn't want to waste his energies until he was done, so he was just trying to buy time while only using Mana since Mana was expendable and easily recovered as long as one had potions.
'If I can make my entire arm a container of certain formations of any punch skills, I can use vigor force properly to generate a turbulent force in my skill.'
'Whirling Punch's formation seems better suited to take advantage of turbulent force, while Sling Shot punch is the exact opposite since I technically use condensed and proper laminar flows of energies in the formations.'
Usually, that's how it was. Everyone's formation was proper and calculated with flows of energy they can scale to release various intensities of attacks.
But the turbulent force would never appear in those pim-proper attacks. It had to be an unpredictable and chaotic flow.
'If my punch projectiles can hold turbulent force inside, they will become more powerful…'
While Erix dodged and escaped from the enemy, his pitch-black right arm, which was a Tier-4 metal of darkness element, was almost filled with chaotic lines from his shoulder to wrist.
They glowed as he infused Mana into the formation while his palms glowed. But that was not the end, as Erix also circulated 200 Vigor force from the shoulder as she pumped throughout the whole formation, making his entire arm faint red.
*Splat*
But his arms suddenly exploded before he could release the energy.
The formation also broke as those eccentric lines became disoriented.
'Shit…'
Erix quickly chugged two potions, one Mana & one Healing.
He sensed threats coming and randomly teleported without any thought.
Erix could feel that this Royal-order Shade was weaker than Morgana and could also dodge the attacks, unlike in Morgana's domain, where he couldn't avoid them.
'One more try. If I fail, then I'll have to pound this Shade to death with my usual style.'
The enemy was getting trickier, and the domain was also changing into a landscape from the strange water-world, so he had to be fast.
