"Roar!"
Gaorath roared, unleashing dark orange orbs of flames and net, but Erix once again easily escaped, a leisurel expression on his face.
*Boom!*
And then a blast rang below Gaorath's feet, exploding out of space and turning his legs into mush as he issued another painful roar.
'J-just one hit…'
Gaorath gritted his teeth, using his flame-based domain with an abundance of flame in beastly shapes as they chased Erix.
But Erix remained untouchable.
With one hand wave, he could forcefully alter the incoming attacks.
With another wave of his hand, he could send his attacks right near Gaorath, blasting him with skill technique punches of Nihilir energy and injuring him further.
No matter what Gaorath did, he was utterly helpless against Erix, and he still had all stats higher than Erix except for one.
Spirit.
"Arghh!" Gaorath roared, his eyes red and glowing as his body shone with eccentric patterns.
A second later, condensed flame body parts conjured over his body, covering him into a seemingly dark orange metallic-looking suit that pulsed.
"Not bad," Erix laughed and finally entered his combat form mode, consuming 5000 Prana at once as two mystical nano-metal orbs with chaotic energies mixed with Vigor force whirled inside.
But there was one more energy mixed within along with Nihilir and Vigor Force, making it more chaotic for a more potent reactive output.
Death Energy from his Class's source!
After entering Celestial Chaos Form and materializing a pair of slick dark purple gauntlets with silver paterns, his punches clashed against Gaorath's claw projectile attacks.
The Punch concept's boost + Chaos Concept's boost + the refined skill techniques + boost from various energies giving higher potent output with Chaos concept obliterated Gaorath's skill + and other minor factors regarding execution.
Gaorath also had a concept, but his skill and the quality of his elemental energies were not as powerful.
Despite Gaorath having 2.3k Magic Power and Erix having 1.5k Magic Power, Gaorath still lost the clash as the Nihilir Whirling Punches obliterated Gaorath's projectiles while Sling Shot punches gave him beatings.
Another reason was the difference in Spirit power. Erix had 1.45k Spirit power, while Gaorath just had 1k.
The boost that Erix's attack got was higher, and he had more Spirit energy to spare.
"Argh!"
The battle continued, but every passing second lowered Gaorath's chances of victory as he started feeling that he indeed wouldn't be able to reduce even 1 percent of Erix's vitality.
Despite using his Bloodline powers and consuming his Blood essence, Gaorath failed to hit Erix even once.
"Time's up. You got nothing to show me anymore."
Erix's aura turned a tad darker before a shadowy black scythe materialized before him, while Gaorath floated a hundred meters away, injured all over and unable to recover due to Nihilir's latest effect of Control-type aspect.
-Control: Rend.
Rend: Injured with Nihilir will render any type of recovery to the injured part null, dead. This also includes body parts severed by Nihilir.
Without a specialized skill having Life-attribute and some other powers, it would be impossible to remove Rend debuff.
Gaorath's class didn't have any potent recovery skills, and he also didn't have a higher-tier potion to deal with it.
Tier-5 potions he had didn't work, and he didn't have anything above that.
Despair already flooded his eyes when he heard Erix's words.
"Please spare, I-I won't show you my face ever again."
Erix smiled and grabbed the Undead Scythe that cost 3000 Death energy.
[Undead Scythe]
_Type: Offense.
_Cost: 100 - 10,000 Death energy.
_Effect:
—> Conjures a giant scythe that directly attacks a target and infuses death for massive damage, depending on the cost. It can apply death to skills as well, essentially killing them and passing through them at the cost of its power.
"You can work hard for not showing your face in your next life," Erix slashed the Scythe vertically downward after infusing Spirit energy in it to boost its power.
The sharp point of the Scythe entered space and came out before Gaorath's chest, piercing in the middle.
The scythe started turning faint while pure Death flooded Gaorath, turning him black as he screamed. He tried to grab the Scythe, but his hands failed to touch them as they slummed down.
The sky and space cracked as his domain broke, and both appeared outside.
Gaorath's body failed to hold up as he fell, and the Scythe vanished after pouring its power into Gaorath, sealing his fate.
[You have gained 2.1 Patron points.]
Erix was surprised at getting more Patron points than usual, but he put away for now upon additional guests before him who looked like the same racial tribe of Beastfolks as Gaorath and raised his eyebrows.
"Are you here for revenge?" Erix asked while waving his hand to produce a gust of wind physically, scattering Gaorath as he had turned entirely black and deader than dead.
His body broke into motes and scattered away while Erix received Death Specs.
[Dead Sea]
_Type: Utility.
_Death Specks: [ 814 ]
_Effect(s):
—> Whenever you kill a living being, the Dead Sea will absorb its death
power completely and turn it into Death Specks.
—> You can use Death Specks to apply Death Rules to your various
attacks.
_Death Rules: the effect of the rules depends on the Death Specks
consumed when using them.
—> Killing Boost: Increase attack power.
—> Death Doom: Apply a Doom mark on the target attacked. If the target
dies, you will receive a buff based on the target you killed.
_Note: More Death Rules will appear as the class levels up.
"I don't think they are foolish enough to take up on that," Lilith said, her eyes and lips smiling. "Right?"
The lion-man with Empyrean-order power base looked ashen for a second before he said with a suppressed voice, defeat evident in his tone.
"We have nothing to do with Gaorath. Sorry to disturb you."
"Let's go."
After they left, the group continued moving into the city's lively part and arrived at the huge market.
Markets were the biggest and most important areas of most cities in the Abyss.
"We'll find plenty of garbage to burn here," Lilith said as she walked ahead of the group, leading them.
"The first is the underground slave house. It's handled by the strongest guild of this city."
After all, they needed to find some pieces of trash, provoke them, and kill them.
After an hour....
They obliterated the entire market and freed all slaves. Each kill of the hunter there granted them 1 or more Patron points.
Only a few hunters along with the leader were left, but their courage was leaving their bodies as the group approached them in the huge underground hall.
However, Rin and Erix were surprised to see a familiar figure from Earth standing among them at the back, looking like a servant.
