Chapter 324: Erix's Craft, Groundwork
Erix had almost finished crafting Zoe's custom weapon on the island after an hour of meticulous process.
Zoe and others were watching the final touches as fiery dark orange sparks stormed around a 2.5 meter long spear.
It was shining with eccentric patterns while Erix giving the final touches to the formations and sealing them.
"Done."
Erix smiled and clapped lightly once, causing the furnace storm around the spear to vanish.
The spear's body was dark orange with fiery curvy patterns and its pointed part was glittering crystalized with solidified energy nodes and formation in it that Erix created from a metal.
The spear's shaft and its blade point were made from different metals, but both had the same attributes—Fire & lightning.
The shaft was made from a Tier 5 metal while the blade point was made from a Tier-6 metal.
"Guild master, why did you use two different metals?" Varan curiously asked.
"That point blade's metal is not suitable for the shaft. This shaft's metal could bear more refining and magic formations. It's a sort of more defense-oriented metal."
"But that blade point's metal is more offensive-oriented due to its properties."
Erix sent the spear towards Zoe as it flew and floated vertically before it.
"It's name is…Fulmin Blaze Spear," Erix said with a grin as he gave it a name.
Everyone inspected it and was gobsmacked at the spear's power!
[Fulmin Blaze Spear]
_Rank: Tier-5
_Grade: Legendary
_Base Attack: 7600 + 300% of user's Strength.
_Enhanced Attacks: 7600 + 300% of user's Strength & Magic stats. 10 Prana per second.
_Effects:
—> Fulmin Blaze: Your skills released through spears deal an additional Flame and Lightning attribute damage equal to 150% of your Magic stat.
—> Thunderflame Wheel: Consming 1000-5000 Prana will release Thunderflame Wheels as projectiles that you can control.
—> Lightflame Pierce: Releases a lightning-fast condensed arrow from the spear's tip by consuming 1000-5000 Prana, with high piercing power and compact damage depending on your Magic stat.
"As you wanted, this spear has two long-range effective attacks. Since you have Fire and Lightning affinity, everything you release from this spear will be boosted according to your power buffs."
Zoe excitedly grabbed the spear, her eyes shining brightly. "This is so powerful! Its attack is crazily high!"
"Yep. That's the magic of my unique Metals," Erix grinned. "Go on, check out the effects."
Zoe nodded, and others eagerly looked at her as she swung her spear in the sky five one-meter-tall dark orange wheels with dark blue lightning sparks materialized from her spears and shot into the sky.
"Awesome! They pack a lot of punch I can feel," Zoe was thrilled and looked at Erix with excitement. "No wonder your created skills are so powerful."
Erix waved his hand and conjured a Nihilir Wisp.
The Nihilir wisp shaped into a square shield according to Erix's control, with the new application applied to it—Ripple Riddle. It was a defensive-type Nihilir application, unlike Dismantle, which was an offense-type.
He comprehended Ripple Riddle after his Nihilir Affinity reached 2nd realm.
"Use Lightflame Pierce on this shield," Erix said with a smile. 'If I succeeded in that formation, then Lightflame Pierce should breach this defense.'
"Come on, guild master," Zoe weakly smiled. "I'm sure I am not powerful enough to break your defense even with this spear's power."
"Just try," Erix said with a laugh, "As for this defense, it is an application of my Nihilir element called Ripple Riddle. It solidifies the space that I shaped, which is the square shield in this case, and forms a subspace in it."
Erix put the shield one hundred meters high in the sky and added, "Anything that entered through this application of Nihilir would be met with a thorough decay and destructure at micro-space levels, thus nullifying attacks."
"But if I succeeded in the magic formation of that effect, it should puncture through this shield," Erix smiled.
"W-what? This spear is that powerful?" Leon stuttered.
Not just him, but everyone was shocked upon hearing that. After all, Erix's power level was more than five, no…almost six times theirs because all six of them were barely around 25k of Power level!
Erix laughed at their reaction and said, "I only used 1000 Prana for this Nihilir wisp, and it's not powered by my spirit force or other energies."
Zoe looked at the ghastly purple shield and nodded as she held the spear tightly and took a stance, "Alright, I'll use full power in this Lightflame Pierce."
"Max 5000 Prana for activation. 1000 Spirit force for the damage boost. 1000 Rage Energy of my class for further damage boost."
Zoe's aura rose as she focused and used the effect. The spear's shaft's eccentric patterns shone along with the spear point's blade.
'Let's see…' Zoe pulled back the spear and hurled it forward with her full power, but kept it in her hand.
*Swoosh!*
The spear's point released a lightning-fast nail-like projectile that struck the square shield. It started dissolving in the first micro-second when its tip entered but then…it vanished and also made a clean hole in the shield.
Erix's eyes sparkled. "It worked!"
'Fuck…it really worked!'
"Guild master, I felt some kind of unique power when I used it," Zoe's brows creased. "It felt like a conceptual power…"
"Exactly!" Erix grinned. "I also confirmed something and it worked. Basically, In that Lightflame Pierce effect's formation, I designed it while infusing the intent of my Punch concept."
"So if you use Spirit force as a boost along with Prana when you release Lightflame Pierce, It will gain the power of Punch concept."
"And Punch doesn't just mean forming a fist and punching," Erix's eyes narrowed and his smile widened. "Punch is an action concept and it can be realized even without forming a fist, so I imbued it in this formation. The other form of my Punch concept is…puncturing, which was clearly displayed in that attack."
Erix grinned and looked at Zoe, "Without that, your attack can't possibly pass through that Ripple Riddle shield and make a hole like that, haha."
Elena, the blind girl, suddenly exclaimed, "I get it!"
A subtly excited smile formed on her face as she said, "I…can I go and train? I want to meditate for my Blossom concept."
"Sit under that tree. You'll feel more focused on this island," Erix nodded and then looked at the others. "You all can take your time to think what you want. I'll make daily three items until everyone gets one."
Leon, Alfred, Varan, Samuel, and Zoe also left to train.
The guild territory had been moved to the Blessed Island, but it was still mostly empty due to a low number of members.
Just as Erix was about to exit to look around the area, he sensed several presences mixed with two familiar ones approaching the island.
He opened the Island barrier and let the group inside.
'Turtle people? Didn't see this race in the Abyss,' Erix was surprised to see ten people of a green hard-skinned humanoid race with turtle shells along with Kenshin and Sameira.
'It must be the people of the Terrapin clan they talked about.'
"Erix, we have some matter to inform you. Let's go inside."
"Alright," Erix smiled and snapped his finger, causing him, Kenshin, Sameira, and the 10 Terrapin members to teleport into the guild's hall.
"Sit, everyone."
The Terrapin clan members who arrived with Kenshin and Sameira were dumbfounded. Their Prana Kavach had vanished, but Kenshin's and Sameira's Prana Kavach were intact.
"You…you have 3rd realm of Space power, but still…"
"What happened?" Sameira asked in surprise.
Erix laughed and said, "You two didn't resist my teleport since you were familiar with it, but these 10 felt it the first time, and their resistance was instinctive. The passive line of defense was Prana Kavach, but theirs vanished because they couldn't resist my forceful teleportation."
"Anyway, what's the matter?" Erix sat down on the single sofa chair and curiously asked.
The Terrapin clan members were excited! If they got the support of this person and his guild, they were sure to survive and get strong.
These Royal-order Terrapins could feel Erix's aura and his power despite him also being a Royal-order.
"I told these guys that you are worthy of their trust, and so I brought them here for a discussion," Kenshin grinned. "These turtles have quite some impressive things."
"Oh? I am all eyes," Erix laughed. "What's their specialty?"
…
Meanwhile, Rin, Isabella, and Aria also managed to get on the same ground as the elf clan. More precisely, it was the Moondawn Elf clan. They were a mix of High and Dark elf bloodlines.
Just like other clans that had appeared all over the world, this one also had a small number of people and powerhouses.
They were better off than the Terrapin clan, but they also needed support and alliance to grow.
Aria's and Amu's presence made it easy for the Elves. They even wanted Aria to marry into their clan, but that was impossible, so after forming the alliance with terms on both sides, Rin and the others left. Mission complete.
Meanwhile, only ten minutes were left until the beginning of the tournament and thousands of people had gathered at the center square of the meadow.
Not everyone was going to participate because it was certain that only people who reached Royal-order rank would get the chance, but many Noble-order people still wanted to enter.
