Chapter 327: Cosmic Faction Hub, Facilities, Field Mission
The last ranked cosmic faction, Unbound Star.
Since only Royal-order could join factions, it didn't have native Earth members. However, they saw over a hundred people of various races, including humans in the hub.
They were in various groups, big and small.
The strongest were Empyrean-order ones because those at Reverend-order and above were in a higher plane of existence and had a different hub.
Still, since the Unbound Star cosmic faction was ranked last, at 100th rank, it was quite clear that it didn't have enough members to prop it up.
The hub looked like a huge hall with four corridors leading to different areas of the cosmic factions.
"Erix, we should also check out those cosmic faction facilities," Rin grinned. "Tenebria told us that it can give us useful resources as rewards depending on our performance."
"Yeah, we'll check those out later. Let's find the group that's doing the emergency mission first," Erix said as he walked towards the big round desk in the middle.
Above the desk were holograms of missions. One of that was the emergency mission section, and only one was available.
[Resource Extraction]—Emergency.
Mission: Extracting resources and the core of a volatile dwarf planet that is about to explode in three days.
Reward:
—> Tier-7 Comprehension Stone Tablet of your choice.
—> 100 Comic Coins.
—> Self-reward distribution: Whatever you acquire from the planet is yours except for the planet's core.
"Are you interested in that mission?"
Erix and Rin heard a voice behind them as they saw a seven-foot-tall bulky man with a military-cut hairstyle and wearing a cyberpunk-ish black outfit.
His powerful aura indicated that he was an Empyrean-order and his Power level was 185,780.
"We are," Erix answered with a smile.
"Nice bloodlines," said a long dark green-haired girl who appeared from behind the bulky man, with a laid-back white coat around her arms that faintly glowed with a rainbow hue. A black vest and tight leggings covered her shapely figure.
After Rin got her bloodline evolved, her Power Level increased, but it hadn't touched the 100k mark yet.
"You can join, but she can't," the bulky man said as he crossed his arms.
"What is the Power Level of your weakest member?" Rin asked with narrowed eyes.
"One hundred fifteen thousand," the girl replied with a grin. "That's me."
Rin raised her eyebrows before she sharply smiled, "Let's duel. If I win, I'll join."
"Tessa is my name," the girl said with a smile.
"Rin."
"Erix."
"I am Hallar," the bulky man said with a nod. "The rest of the members are at Hell's Garden. We can also go there and initiate the duel between you two."
"Hell's garden?" Erix repeated before he turned his head to the left and saw a demonic flower symbol above the corridor's entrance.
"It's our first time in this lively hub, so we don't know about the facilities," Rin said. "What's with the Hell's garden?"
"Follow us."
Hallar and Tessa walked towards the corridor while Rin and Erix followed as Tessa explained, "Hell's garden is a vast expanse of dimension with extreme environments at various areas."
"There are no resources there, but only a dangerous and hazardous environment that changes every day. Members can train there, usually for combat practice."
They entered the corridor and arrived in another small hall with an array of trees and plants.
The hall had three doors at three sides of the wall and no corridors.
There were a few people, less than 50, in groups. They were discussing and some also left as Erix and others arrived.
"That's the Hell's garden," Tessa pointed at one of the doors. "The other door is Hell's Tower. You can clear floors there and get rewards."
"Oh yeah, Hell's garden, Hell's tower, and that third door leading to Hell's Pool, is present in every cosmic faction."
Tessa grinned and added, "Which means, there are people of other cosmic factions in Hell's garden. The leaderboard of Hell's tower is connected to all as well."
"As for Sea of Hell. It's a torturing place with little gains for most people. I don't wanna explain it here, so you can just check it out later."
Rin and Erix were surprised and even excited.
"What's the highest floor record of Hell's tower?"
"768th floor," Hallar answered before he grunted in his heavy voice. "Apparently, this record hasn't been broken for centuries."
Tessa snickered and said, "Of course, only Empyrean-order and below can enter the Hell's Tower. So once you go past Empyrean-order, you lose your chance to enter again."
"We'll break that record," Rin said with a grin.
"Absolutely," Erix also said with a grin.
"Haha, good luck," Hallar laughed. "I am currently stuck at 342th floor. It's hard. But I still have a long way before I breakthrough to Reverend-order."
"Unless you die," Tessa giggled.
"Stop cursing other people," Hallar rolled his eyes.
The group entered the door of Hell's Garden and soon arrived in a frosty environment with everything on ice.
However, Rin and Erix could also see a different phenomenon of darkness far away in the north.
"This ice land is our cosmic faction's entry point," Hallar said before turning his head in the west direction. "The rest of the team members are in the forest area to the left. Let's go."
Erix's eyes gleamed as he produced Nihilir Wisps, immediately surprising Hallar and Tessa as they looked at the wisps.
Their eyes glinted as they used their senses to check out the wisps.
"What the hell is this element?" Tessa muttered.
"Super Exotic Element," Halla spoke, his voice hoarse and his eyes whirling with shock as he looked at Erix. "What are the elements?"
"Space, Death, and Flame," Erix smiled. "Let's go to the forest. Don't resist the teleport."
The two wisps touched the two of them before all four of them vanished and teleported 140 kilometers away at once, which was the maximum distance Erix could teleport in one go. Of course, at the cost of 1400 Prana.
"One hundred kilometers more, and we'll be at the forest area," Hallar said.
"Ok," Erix nodded before teleporting everyone again but didn't use Nihilir Wisps on Tessa and Hallar this time since they didn't resist the Space Matter mark that Erix used for teleporting.
As long as anyone was within his active range of Spiritual Mystic Eye's sense range, he could mark them and initiate teleport. Powerful people could resist while weaker people would be helpless against the forceful teleportation.
The group arrived at the border that separated the two areas and it was quite a spectacle.
One part was fully frosty with nothing but ice. The temperature reached over -200 Celsius.
On the other hand, Just 1 meter thick border away from this icy area was a thick forest area. The only thing separating them was a meter-thick ground border of mixed icy and green land.
"This phenomenon of separate areas is the same as our Blessed Island's areas," Rin said with surprise.
"You have Blessed Island?" Hallar was stunned and immediately turned around to look at the duo.
"Yeah," Erix nodded. "Why? Is it very hard to get?"
Tessa rolled her eyes and was speechless. "The fuck, of course it is. They are fucking natural phenomena things. You can either get them from Abyss worlds on rare occasions or from a cosmic event that naturally occurs."
"It's a matter of luck and power. You need to be at that place at the right time and with sufficient power."
"Make sense," Rin chuckled and said, "After we got it, we had a lot of enemies after us for it."
"Anyway, where are the other people? Call them, and let's begin our duel," Rin added with a grin, her dark red eyes faintly showing golden sparks of Chronace flow.
"Do you have anyone in your team with a Super Exotic Element?" Erix curiously asked.
Hallar shook his head and said, "No. But we have ones with Exotic Elements. I have one, Tessa has one, and two more have an Exotic Element each."
Right after he said that everyone felt auras approaching them.
"I already gave them a signal that we've arrived," Tessa said as she played with a dark silver card on her fingers.
"What's that?" Rin asked upon seeing the card. "A comm card?"
"Yep. It's expensive, but you should buy it for field missions. It costs 50 cosmic coins to buy one, and their range is 20,000 kilometers."
"Damn, it's better than my U-card," Erix clicked his tongue."I'll have to check it out and learn it.
Soon, they saw seven people arriving. Two of them were demons as indicated by their exotic skin and horns. Both men.
Two were dwarves, one female and one male. The remaining three were beastfolks. One bunny man, one wolf woman, and one lion woman. However, the lion woman was not furry like the other two. She was like Lyra and Klelia with more human appereance like smooth skin and beautiful face with beastly features like ears and a tail.
"Are these two new ones?" Shifa, the lioness woman said with a frown. "This girl has less than 100,000 Power Level."
"We are going to duel," Tessa said with a grin. "If she wins, then she can join us."
"Uhh, can we just go now?" one of the demon men called Leirat said. "This fucking mission appeared today morning, but we've already wasted a whole day. That dwarf planet will blow up in three days, and I don't know if we have enough time to reap all the benefits."
"Yeah, let's just go already. Even if she has less than 100k Power level, we ten should be enough to extract the core and complete the mission," said Dinda, the dwarf girl with red hair.
"And Power Level doesn't indicate one's true power," Dinda added while rolling her eyes at the lioness woman. "Let's just go, Shifa."
"The Strongest of us will make the decision," Shifa said as she looked at Hallar. "Speak."
Hallar turned to Rin and asked, "What's your elements and their realm?"
Rin smiled and waved her hand, creating a field of Chronace Flow that covered everyone within.
Instantly, everyone's face changed as they felt the exotic power hitting them and felt the change in the flow of time bending eccentrically inside.
"What the hell, you also have Super Exotic Element?" Tessa was speechless. "Why the fuck you didn't show it when he showed it?"
"Wait, wait…you mean he also has a Super Exotic Element?" Meikar, the other demon asked with a dumbfounded expression.
Shifa the lioness, Horu the bunny man, and Milia the wolf girl were shocked even more.
"Bwahahahah," the dwarf man, Kaja laughed loudly. "Say no more. Let's just begin our darn mission already. I can't wait."
"This mission is fucking shared between the 95th ranked Cosmic faction to the 100th rank, and if we failed to get that core, we won't get that precious reward," Leirat said. "Hallar, open the damn portal. Let's go."
