Chapter 48: Scary Power
Why did he look shocked? Shouldn’t he be excited if he got SSS-rank class?
"Hey, don’t tell me it’s not SSS-rank," Natalia said, frowning.
"It can’t be," Lily was speechless. "It shouldn’t be lower than SSS rank."
Almond reigned his excitement hearing their words and weakly smiled at them, "It’s not SSS-rank."
"Damn!" Natalia clicked her tongue. "That’s really sad. I for sure thought you would get it."
"Wait," Lily narrowed her eyes. "You don’t look upset."
Almond burst out laughing and directly shared his class details with them.
"Well, it’s freaking one rank above SSS rank!"
[Riftveil Grimblade]
-Class rank: Legendary
-Class Perk: +100% Perception, +100% Focus, +100 Will.
-Legendary Quirk: Riftveil Eyes.
-Class skill(s):
—> 1. Divine Divider’s Harvest.
"$##&$%@&…." Natalia muttered gibberish, "The fuck!?!"
Meanwhile, Lily’s eyes were twinkling. "This is incredible..so the legendary-ranked class gains something called Legendary Quirk...How cool."
"Here, let’s check it out first," Almond grinned and shared the quirk’s power.
[Riftveil Eyes]
-Type: Quirk
-Effect:
—> Allows you to see the desired attributes of your targets. Using it will exhaust your mind, and overdoing it will make you unconscious.
"What’s it talking about? What kind of attributes?" Natalia tilted her head, confused.
"I can check right now," Almond blinked as he used the quirk, looking at Natalia and Lily.
A few seconds passed by, but Almond’s brows furrowed. "Nothing’s showing up."
He looked at the skill again, and it clicked, "Wait, so it’s up to my desire on what I want to see, eh?"
Almond rubbed his chin, "What if I want to see Natalia’s Emotional attributes?"
Just as Almond willed that, he saw the attributes.
[Empathy: Ability to understand and feel the emotions of others, impacting social relationships and compassion-based abilities. 83/100]
[Compassion: Capacity for kindness and care may affect healing abilities, trust-building, and supportive interactions. 51/100]
[Mental Resilience: Emotional toughness, determining how well one can cope with trauma, stress, and adversity. 64/100]
[Hope: Optimism or positivity that influences motivation, morale, and one’s ability to inspire others in dire situations. 73/100]
[Fear Tolerance: Measures how well one can endure fear, useful in facing intimidating opponents or frightening environments. 52/100]
[Confidence: Belief in one’s own abilities, often impacting courage, assertiveness, and performance under pressure. 58/100]
[Determination: Drive to achieve a goal regardless of challenges, affecting stamina, persistence, and willpower in difficult tasks. 67/100]
[Curiosity: Desire to explore, discover, and learn, impacting intelligence, adaptability, and resourcefulness. 63/100]
"This…is scary," Almond was shocked as he read the information.
"What? What did you read about me?!" Natalia rapidly blinked. "Show me."
Lily looked at Almond’s eyes and wryly smiled, "If what I am assuming is right, then it’s indeed scary."
"Are you sure you want to see this?" Almond asked as he looked at Natalia.
Natalia’s lips twitched, but she vehemently nodded, "I want to see my mental and emotional attributes, yes!"
Just as Natalia said that, Almond actually saw three of her attributes increase by one—fear Tolerance, Mental resilience, and Curiosity!
’Wait, will her attributes be affected if I show this to her?’ Almond was curious now. "Here, take a look, both of you."
Soon, they finished reading, and both had different reactions.
"Wow…" Lily was amazed.
And Natalia, "$&#%@%…mother of fucking hell…"
"But this ain’t so bad…I am coping well in some areas," Natalia muttered as she nodded, "This is kinda accurate now that I think about it."
Almond soon saw her attributes increasing again. ’Her mental resilience, fear tolerance, and confidence went up…’
’It seems that since these are all emotional attributes, they can affect each other and change. She is growing, basically, which we all do while living life.’
’Seeing one’s own attributes in numbers can be quite an experience. People usually have the wrong idea about their attributes unless they dictate it through their actions, which most people don’t really do.’
’Even myself…it’s the first time I’ve been this talkative and open in front of others…I am changing, and I accept these changes.’
Almond was genuinely excited. For someone who prized knowledge and understood its significance, this newfound power was incredible!
"Here, Nat. Your attributes increased," Almond shared the updated attributes.
"Oh…Wow!" Natalia was amazed, and a fire lit in her eyes, her fist clenched. "I-I am going to overcome this shit. Especially my trauma and fear!"
"Check mine," Lily said as she stared at Almond. "Check…let’s say psychological attributes."
"Yeah, but let’s narrow down more," Almond said as his expression turned thoughtful. "I could feel that getting information about eight attributes drained my mental stamina a bit. How about we check your intuition and charisma? Both are in different fields in a way."
Lily contemplatively nodded. "True. Intuition is psychological, but Charisma…can be described as a social and relational attribute."
Almond looked at Lily and willed it, soon getting information about her Intuition and Charisma.
[Intuition: The ability to sense things beyond logical understanding, useful for decision-making and detecting hidden motives or traps. 98/100]
[Charisma: Natural charm and influence over others, impacting leadership, persuasion, and social interactions. 92/100]
"Bingo," Almond grinned and shared it with Natalia and Lily. "I knew these two attributes of yours were crazy high."
"Wow, way to go, my oddball Mama Lily."
Lily was very flexible in a way, as Almond had seen different faces of her, not to mention her natural beauty that enhanced her Charisma further.
As for Intuition, he had experienced that firsthand.
Lily smiled, satisfied with the result, "Well, I’m going to reach 100 in both sooner or later."
"You will," Almond chuckled. "Anyway, let’s check out the skill now."
He glinted as he added, "I’m sure there’s a reason why I have Riftveil Eyes. I may be able to affect these exotic attributes of others."
"That’s seriously scary if you can do that," Natalia cringed, getting goosebumps.
"True," Lily wryly smiled.
"Let’s see," Almond checked the skill and shared it with them.
