Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 167: tier-3 creature attacks

Looking closer, tension covered every corner of the island. Tall buildings collapsed from explosions, and vehicles raced frantically. Some met fatal accidents in their attempts to flee. At the heart of all this chaos, large portals stood tall, the source of the calamity.

"Everyone, move back!"

A man shouted loudly, his voice reverberating, warning the people around him. He was wearing a military uniform adorned with several star insignias on his chest, indicating his high rank in the armed forces. This man stood in the Teleportation Hub area, where all the portals from various islands were connected. His sharp gaze focused on a strange old man not far from his position.

"Damn... he\'s a Tier-3 ruler," the uniformed man muttered with a tense face. His expression grew tighter, and large veins bulged on his temples as he struggled to find a solution to the threat before him.

"Captain Jhon... the citizens have been evacuated, reinforcements are on their way," a subordinate soldier reported respectfully, his eyes also focused on the strange man who had just emerged from the portal.

But Captain Jhon didn\'t respond. His mind was in turmoil, processing the reality that before him stood a powerful cultivator with a menacing aura. The flying sword hovering beneath the man\'s feet only added to his fear.

"What should I do? I\'ll die if I go alone..." he muttered, his inner voice filled with despair.

Alert... the tower\'s energy is fully charged...

The notification from his communicator distracted Captain Jhon. His face instantly changed, as if he\'d found a way out of his predicament.

Next strike in 3...

Captain Jhon held his breath, counting down, hoping the defense tower would activate soon and destroy the threatening cultivator in front of him.

1... strike!

A large energy ball began to gather at the top of the defense tower at the edge of the Teleportation Hub wall, radiating light like lightning. Zooman, the cultivator, sensed the approaching aura of the attack. He sought its source and locked his gaze on the tall tower.

Suddenly, an enormous energy shot from the tower, its lightning streaking with incredible speed, striking directly at Zooman\'s head.

Boom! Zap!

A massive explosion occurred. Blinding white light enveloped the surroundings, making Captain Jhon unable to see what had happened. His heart raced, waiting for the dust and light to settle.

But when his vision cleared, a greater fear overtook him.

"What?!" he screamed internally, his chest tightening. In front of him, he saw Zooman standing tall, protected by a golden barrier surrounding his body. The powerful lightning strike hadn\'t left a single mark on the shield.

"Hmm... a fairly strong tower," Zooman muttered while glancing at the tower in the distance with a knowing look. Then, his gaze shifted back to Captain Jhon and the soldiers around him.

"Lowly beings like you don\'t deserve to live..." he said calmly. Without warning, he shot towards them with terrifying speed.

"Run!" Captain Jhon yelled, his voice mixed with fear. He knew there was only one outcome if they stayed—death. The soldiers quickly activated their blue and green gear, triggering the best escape skills they had.

But as they started running, a head fell without warning, marking the death of one of the soldiers. The horror froze their blood, forcing them to flee as fast as they could.

"One," Zooman said coldly, wiping the blood from his dual-edged sword, which emitted a fearsome white glow due to its sharpness.

One by one, the fleeing soldiers fell to the ground, helpless against Zooman\'s savagery. With each deadly slash of his sword, blood flowed freely, and their bodies collapsed lifeless. Zooman showed no mercy. His expression remained blank, as if these killings were mere routine for him.

Desperate screams and the clatter of fallen weapons echoed around the Teleportation Hub. The chase extended beyond the area, and many civilians began to panic. They fled as fast as they could, trying to escape the deadly threat that was closing in.

Amidst the panic, Captain Jhon witnessed the horror unfolding before his eyes. The soldiers he led had been slaughtered, and now Zooman was moving towards the innocent civilians. His body trembled, but his heart felt heavy. Something inside him told him he couldn\'t run anymore.

"I have to stop him, no matter the risk," Captain Jhon thought.

Without hesitation, he stopped running, staring at the approaching Zooman. Captain Jhon\'s hand reached behind him, pulling out a large weapon—a spiked iron mace that gleamed, his trusted weapon in battle. The veins in his arms bulged as he lifted the weapon.

"I won\'t let you kill any more people..." he said firmly, though his heart was still filled with fear.

He took a deep breath, gathering all his courage, then activated his ultimate skill: Killer Strike. The size of his spiked mace suddenly grew, revealing sharp, terrifying spikes. Red energy began to shimmer around the mace, giving off a deadly aura.

(Killer Strike) Attack power +10%, Bleeding effect 20%. Each spike on the mace will inflict a 50% bleeding effect with each hit. Cooldown: 5 minutes.

Captain Jhon didn\'t wait any longer. With all his strength, he swung his giant mace directly towards Zooman. The strike was incredibly fast and powerful, creating a massive airwave around them. The mace aimed straight at Zooman\'s body, ready to deliver a fatal blow.

However, Zooman didn\'t remain idle. Calmly, he raised his sword and effortlessly activated his skill, Continuous Slash. His long sword danced in the air, releasing several quick slashes in succession. The first slash blocked Captain Jhon\'s mace, creating an explosion of energy that spread around them. The second slash swept across Captain Jhon\'s chest, making blood spurt from his body.
