Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 195: Haikal Emanuel message

Haikal descended from the Vortex Plate with a light movement. His feet touched the ground with a grace that contrasted with the destruction he had just caused. His figure stood tall in front of William and his troops, and his previously cold face now softened, presenting an unexpectedly friendly smile.

"Hello, Mr. William, it\'s an honor to meet you." His voice was soft, but there was something hidden beneath that softness, something that made everyone who heard it feel a chill creeping down their spines.

William stammered, his blood seeming to freeze for a moment. The horror still lingering from what had happened to Yehu was now overshadowed by the old man\'s friendly gaze, yet still, the fear could not be dispelled. Haikal\'s smile felt like a piercing irony.

"Ah… n-no, Sir. We are honored to meet you," William quickly replied, his voice stiff, desperately trying to hide the tension that gripped him. He knew, that friendly smile was merely a mask for the cruelty that could strike at any moment. Behind the facade of politeness, Haikal Emanuel was a monster who couldn\'t be predicted.

Behind William, his soldiers exchanged glances. Although they had seen firsthand how Haikal treated his enemies, none of them dared show their fear openly. Instead, they nodded politely, offering words of praise with slightly trembling voices.

"We are honored to meet you, Sir Haikal."

"Pleasure to meet you, Sir Haikal."

They spoke in voices that sounded mechanical, trying to maintain composure in front of a man they knew could destroy them in an instant. Though they were all human, they fully understood that Haikal Emanuel was not someone who could be faced with the confidence that he would be fair just because they were of the same race.

Their gazes occasionally shifted to the remains of Yehu\'s body that had fallen from the sky earlier—the memory still fresh in their minds, etched into their dark recollections. They knew, if they took one wrong step, their fate might end in the same way.

"Well... you\'ve been wise enough to remain on the side of humanity up to this point. Thank you for that." Haikal Emanuel\'s voice echoed, emphasizing his words as if issuing a warning. Every tone that left his lips carried the subtle message that if circumstances were reversed, their fate wouldn\'t be much different from Yehu, now lying lifeless on the ground.

"Of course, Sir... of course," William and his soldiers nodded in unison, their faces displaying clear tension. No one dared to argue, knowing they were facing someone capable of changing their lives in an instant. Silently, they agreed to support every word Haikal spoke.

"Good... good." Haikal smiled, a smile that wasn\'t entirely reassuring. "I have a small message for you, Mr. William. Perhaps it will be very useful for your future development."

William raised both eyebrows, waiting cautiously. "What is it, Sir? I\'ll do it," he asked, his voice trembling despite trying to sound calm.

"Do not act contrary to Young Master Lein\'s direction, for your own good." Haikal\'s words flowed smoothly, yet with a firmness that etched them into their minds. A suggestion reminding them to follow Lein\'s methods. William recalled his agreement with Lein not long ago.

Tension filled the air as everyone fell silent for a moment, processing the meaning behind those words. Finally, they all nodded in unison, refusing to question the implied meaning. In their minds, one thing was clear: they just wanted Haikal to leave as soon as possible.

After delivering his message, Haikal turned, leaving them without looking back. With a swift motion, he opened the panel in his hand and scanned the next area that required his assistance.

On the tablet screen, a list of islands in need of help appeared in vivid colors. Three islands in red at the top, followed by several yellow ones, indicating high urgency levels.

"Good... very efficient." Haikal sighed deeply, his gaze fixed on the remaining red list.

Haikal Emanuel focused his gaze on the tablet screen in his hand, weighing the islands with the most concerning statuses. His eyes eventually landed on one of the Top 10 islands flashing red. "Athar Island," he thought. Athar Island was formed by independent rulers without any national identity in its creation. Recalling the description of Athar Island, Haikal felt respect for its leader.

After making his decision, Haikal moved his finger across the tablet screen, trying to check the latest announcements from the alliance.

Pressing a few buttons, he finally arrived at the announcement page. He saw the top announcement: the current status of the war. Almost 90% of the islands had been secured and brought under control, though many had suffered severe damage.

"Huft…"

Haikal let out a deep sigh as he looked at some of the attached photos. Images of ravaged cities, the bodies of civilians lying in the streets, and foreign soldiers attacking without mercy.

He swiped through the screen, seeing a picture of a group of civilians praying in a field, giving thanks to the gods. Their faces were shrouded in sorrow, some weeping in each other\'s arms, showing how the war had devastated their lives.

"Sigh..." Haikal could only let out a long breath. He wasn\'t a god who could save every suffering soul. Behind his stern gaze, there was an unspoken pain. Those civilians might not know how much effort he had put in, but he understood that this was all he could do—help as much as possible.

After scrolling through a few more heartbreaking photos, he noticed several new messages in the Alliance chat.

- (Laras): "The battle on China Island is over, thanks to President Bai\'s help, everything went smoothly."

Haikal tapped the photo embedded in the message. The image showed a woman, and behind her was the figure of a giant dragon rampaging on the battlefield, brutally crushing foreign enemies. Bai Qi in her dragon form. Haikal smiled slightly, recalling how fierce that girl could be.
