Chapter 310: The Four Divine Beasts Formation
While Yu Sunao had suffered a setback months ago when Yu Ren lost to William in the Ranking battle at the Five Elements Sect, William\'s rise to fame quickly brought back that lost face, becoming a badge of honor instead when William even defeated their previous family head.
It was a shame that Yu Shinpai never had any sons, nor was Yu Sunao\'s husband very reliable, else they would have named him as the new head rather than transition to a matriarchy. That being said, none could deny that Yu Sunao was the real deal, though very timid in nature.
True to her name, some would say.
Yu Sunao had been a genius throughout her younger years, even surpassing the talented Yu Ren at the same age. She had awakened only two Elements of Fire and Water, but she was a D-Rank Manamatus in both. Additionally, they had already reached A-Rank, just a step away from awakening a Domain of her own.
Regardless, Yu Sunao couldn\'t possibly compare to William. Not only were her Elements weaker than his, but she was only a middle-stage Soul Formation Cultivator. William could snap her neck with a flick of his wrist, if he so wanted.

She kneeled with her head facing downward, careful not to look William directly in the eye. Her knees shook as she did her best to give a response that wouldn\'t result in her death.
"They\'ve kept their headquarters well hidden in past years and were previously only made up of a small group of people. We have been looking, but with one less Tribulation Transcendence Cultivator, it has been very difficult."
William didn\'t feel that he was all that threatening, but he could tell she was afraid from her body language. I guess I\'ve killed a lot of people lately, it only makes sense.
He nodded, easing Yu Sunao\'s tensions a little, "Do you have anything at all?"
"They should be somewhere in the Providence Zone, but we aren\'t sure where. The area is too large and too dangerous to search effectively, but we\'ve sensed many portals leading there, and they\'ve always been close to our Headquarters. Which means..."
"Even if Retribution isn\'t hiding there, I should be able to follow someone\'s portal, right?" William finished.
Yu Sunao nodded, "It should be easy for you, but we aren\'t much help. We only have a few Space Mages and none are strong enough for such complicated use of Magic."
William thanked Yu Sunao and headed towards the Providence Zone once again. He had no intention of giving the Yu Royal Family any more trouble than he already had. Not to mention, he promised Supreme Left that he wouldn\'t bring the Yu Royal Family into his feud.
Unless they took the initiative to attack William or his friends and family, he saw no need to reciprocate.
In one of the innermost rings of the Providence Zone, William found himself face to face with three Magical Beasts at the ninth stage of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm and one at the very peak. The three were a Juvenile Vermillion Pheonix, Azure Wyrm, and White Tiger Cub, while the Black Turtle Hatchling was at the peak of the Realm.
The only problem was, their names truly didn\'t resemble their actual appearances. Instead of small versions of the same species, these things were fully grown! Not only were they large, but they also had each formed a unique formation, some sort of Beast-like Array that prevented William from leaving easily.
How are these children?!? William questioned as they created a second barrier, then stood in place as if they were having a silent conversation.
Each Beast looked at William ferociously, while eyeing each other with some degree of suspicion. It seemed that although they had each arrived to stop William from proceeding further, they didn\'t necessarily get along.
"What are you doing here, Human?" the Black Turtle Hatchling asked with anger and a hint of curiosity.
"Don\'t try to speak to it, just kill him!" the White Tiger Cub snapped while giving William an icy glare. It had clear and distinct disdain for humans, no matter what their attitude.
"No need to be hasty, little Tiger. There is plenty of time for this human to communicate their intentions. We should give everyone a chance no matter their origin story." the Juvenile Vermillion Pheonix replied simply, as if catching William was only a matter of fact.
The Azure Wyrm snorted at the Pheonix with disdain, "Are you saying you\'re siding with the Turtle? Leave it to stupid birds to always want peace."
The Pheonix turned its head to squawk at the Wyrm, "Shut up, you can\'t even become a real dragon, don\'t talk to me like you\'re better."
William was studying the Beast Formation as he would call it for weaknesses and had no intention of jumping in on their argument, but all four looked at him in that moment, forcing him to divide his attention partially.
"I\'m just passing through and looking for someone. You wouldn\'t know where I can find this person, do you?" William used a combination of Time and Dream Magic to look through his own memories as a dream, then reverse time inside until he found a portrait of Master Black from Retribution.
The dream was pulled to the real world, though the new Tenebris wasn\'t a real person and had no real combat power. He simulated the man\'s aura with the Dream Element, which made each of the four peak Magical Beasts look at him in shock.
"How did you do that?" they asked in unison. They had never seen someone with such incredible control over the Dream Element, much less Time as well.
Even more interesting, these Beasts couldn\'t even sense William\'s Cultivation. They could only tell that his Illusionist\'s Cloak was simulating the Golden Core Realm, but his real Cultivation, Mana Signature, and even Spirit Aura were suppressed so much that he looked like barely someone in Qi Refinement.
Judging by the way William looked at them without any fear or surprise, the man was clearly in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm at least, or a genius on par with that level.
"It\'s just a trick." William waved his hand in dismissal, "Do you know this person?"
"Why would we tell a mere human anything? You\'re too confident, boy!" the Azure Wyrm scoffed at William\'s delusional thoughts. Who cared how powerful the kid was, nothing could compare to the four of them if they banded together.
Even that "Supreme Left" had to run when facing them alone, much less together. They each had a Domain of their own, and Magical Beasts were always known for being stronger than Cultivators in the same Realm.
How could they, who had superior bloodlines than normal Magical Beasts, be weaker? It was clear that this human being was suicidal to come in contact with them, much less allow himself to be trapped by their well-known Four Divine Beasts Battle Formation.
