Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 593: 592 You truly are a couple.

How wonderful it would be, if he could look at her like this for a lifetime.

“Ah Kai, I can’t bear to see Ranran tormented by illness.”

After a long while, Mo Xiuchen finally spoke slowly, his tone calm but laced with inner conflict and reluctance. Originally, knowing that being together with Ranran might transfer the poison inside her to himself, he only thought that as long as he could keep her healthy, it would be enough.

But tonight, as he kissed her, caressed her in her sleep, and even later did what should be done by two alone, he felt a twinge of heartbreak and sadness.

He couldn’t bear for Ranran to leave him, and he equally couldn’t bear leaving Ranran.

If one day he really had to leave her, what would she do? Would she spend the rest of her life alone, or would she accept another man by her side?

“Mo Xiuchen, you…”

Gu Kai was taken aback. Although he had guessed that Mo Xiuchen would do something, hearing him admit it so openly left him speechless.

“Ah Kai, you don’t need to say anything, I am grateful that there is such a way to save Ranran.”

“How could Ranran agree to such a thing?”

Gu Kai questioned incredulously. As soon as he finished speaking, he had a sudden realization. Before Mo Xiuchen could answer, he anxiously asked, “Doesn’t Ranran know? Did you drug her?”

The depth of Mo Xiuchen’s love for Wen Ran equaled the depth of Wen Ran’s love for him. Afraid of hurting him, she was so determined to divorce him. How could she risk hurting him by being intimate with him?

She was unwilling, and of course, Mo Xiuchen would not force her, driving her away. But if he didn’t force her and still wanted to achieve his goal, there was only one way: keep her in the dark.

“Mo Xiuchen, did you give Ranran a sleeping pill?”

Gu Kai was indeed clever. What seemed to be a question was actually a certain conclusion.

“Ah Kai, don’t tell Ranran, and I won’t let her know either.”

Mo Xiuchen did not deny it, essentially admitting to it.

“Ranran will find out eventually.”

Gu Kai shouted at him over the phone, his voice several decibels higher than before.

He didn’t dare to imagine if, as Fu Jingyi had said, in the end…

Ranran would hate herself to death.

“Ah Kai, don’t get so worked up, it might not be as bad as you imagine. Maybe, our father and Joseph will quickly find a way to suppress this virus. I’m using this method simply because I don’t want Ranran to bear the pain so soon. It gives us more time.”

He used this method because Ranran’s condition was changing so quickly that it took everyone by surprise.

He was afraid that by the time Gu Yan and the others find a solution, Ranran might have…

“But, Mo Xiuchen, have you ever thought about how Ranran will react when she finds out?”

Gu Kai and Mo Xiuchen were separated by the Pacific Ocean, so even if he was angry at him, he couldn’t do anything.

Mo Xiuchen gave a slight smile and said, “I’ve thought about it, Ah Kai. If I really can transfer the poison inside Ranran’s body to mine, you should erase her memory of me. Her old memories can be sealed away through deep hypnosis, so the current ones can be as well.”

“You and Ranran are indeed worthy to be husband and wife.”

Gu Kai ground his teeth as he spoke on the phone.

His heart was full of mixed feelings.

Initially Ranran wanted to leave him, she was afraid that he would be in pain, and had asked him to delete his memories of Mo Xiuchen.

Now, he was saying the same thing, wanting to delete Ranran’s memories.

Mo Xiuchen chuckled, it seemed that his words were very pleasing to his ears, “Ah Kai, I’m serious. If in the end I forget Ranran, it’s better to let her forget me first.”

He didn’t want her to suffer physically from the illness, and he didn’t want her to feel guilt and pain because of him. Mental pain is much more devastating than physical suffering.

**

When Wen Ran opened her eyes, it was already 10 a.m.

Even if the curtains were closed, the sunlight still seeped through the blue velvet drapes, illuminating the room. In front of the bed, Mo Xiuchen was sitting on a chair, looking handsome and warm, his eyes tenderly gazing at her.

These past few days, every time she woke up, he was tenderly watching her from the bedside. It seemed he liked to watch her wake up and greet her with a bright “Good morning, Ranran!”

“How long have you been awake?”

Wen Ran met his smiling gaze, and her lips curled up into a smile. Her just-awake voice was lazy and sleepy, more charming and soft than usual, which left Mo Xiuchen slightly captivated.

He lifted his lips, stretching his arm in front of her to let her see the time on his wristwatch, “It’s still four minutes to ten. Ranran, I thought you were going to sleep till noon. I guess you were too tired from shopping yesterday afternoon. You went to bed so early and yet you slept until now.”

By the end, Mo Xiuchen was teasing her with a cheeky twinkle in his eyes, saying she slept like a pig.

Wen Ran smiled, a little embarrassed. She looked at his watch, and indeed it was ten o’clock.

She frowned, counting on her fingers, trying to remember when she went to bed yesterday. She didn’t really remember, but she must have slept for at least 12 hours, right?

How could she sleep so much?

“Ranran, you must be hungry from sleeping so late. Get up, I’ve been waiting for you to have breakfast together.”

As he spoke, he stood up and handed her the clothes he had selected for her.

“Why did I sleep so long?”

Wen Ran wrinkled her brows, took the clothes and placed them on the bed, got out of bed and met Mo Xiuchen’s questioning gaze. She explained softly, “I need to use the bathroom first.”

Mo Xiuchen chuckled lightly, watching her trot into the bathroom.

Once in the bathroom, Wen Ran was still in retrospect. It seemed that she had felt very sleepy after drinking milk last night and then fell asleep.

Was she really tired from shopping yesterday afternoon, or was it that her body was getting worse? In the past, even if she shopped for more than an hour, even half a day, or a whole day, she wouldn’t be tired enough to sleep for over ten hours.

She sat on the toilet, wondering and lost in thought, to the point that she forgot she was sitting on the toilet, thinking she was sitting on a chair.

It wasn’t until there was a knock on the door, and Mo Xiuchen’s caring voice came in, did she snap back to reality.

“Ranran, what are you doing in there? It’s taking so long.”

She blinked in confusion, replying, “I’ll be out soon.”

Opening the bathroom door, she met Mo Xiuchen’s inquisitive gaze, “Did I take too long?”

Wen Ran asked in surprise, her clear eyes looking at his wrist. Mo Xiuchen smiled and said, “Not too long, it’s only half-past-ten now.”

“Half past ten?”

Wen Ran gaped in astonishment, “Didn’t my father call to remind me?”

“You’re only thinking about that now and you don’t think it’s a bit late?”

Mo Xiuchen couldn’t help but laugh, reaching out to tease her by rubbing her nose.
