Chapter 278: Worse Than Me Who Graduated From A Random University
Huo Xishen glanced at Yan Jinyi coldly.
‘You’re really bold with your answer.’
‘Does this woman have a death wish?’
“Darling, just focus on filming in the future. The bodyguards will be responsible for your safety.”
Yan Jinyi asked with a raised brow, “Bodyguard?”
“Don’t worry, Huo Zihang will pay for the bodyguards.”
Huo Zihang quietly drank some water. He couldn’t help it since Yan Jinyi was an artiste of his agency.
‘Second Brother is being too much. Does Yan Jinyi even need a bodyguard?’
Yan Jinyi rubbed her ears and asked, “Do you have a misunderstanding about me? Do you really think I need a bodyguard?”
Huo Xishen flipped through the newspapers and looked at Yan Jinyi calmly. “Darling, you can’t raise your arms nor carry anything. You’re so delicate and vulnerable that you can’t even take care of yourself, so you do need a bodyguard.”
‘Second Brother, just keep lying through your teeth then!’
Yan Jinyi even doubted herself.
“I don’t have time to send you to the set today, but I can come to pick you up after work, Darling.”
With a mirthless smile, Yan Jinyi said, “I shall not trouble you, Mr. Huo, I’m scared of dying young.”
After saying that, she left without looking back.
Perhaps because he had been threatened, Huo Zihang especially prepared a luxury van to ferry her around. As soon as Yan Jinyi got inside the luxury van, she discovered that there were two bodyguards seated in the last row of the backseat.
It was completely different from what she imagined. They were scrawny and had mediocre looks.
They were the type that would not stand out among the crowd.
Yan Jinyi’s face immediately became sullen, “Are you guys the bodyguards?”
Both of them nodded.
“Are you sure?”
Yan Jinyi sized them up.
“Second Young Mistress Huo, I have participated in anti-terrorism operations.”
“Second Young Mistress Huo, I haven’t participated in anti-terrorism operations but I’ve gone to South Africa and fought with savages before.”
Yan Jinyi blinked and sat down decisively.
She felt that if they had been better-looking, they would be qualified to join Black Cloud Fortress.
‘Speaking of the Black Cloud Fortress…’
‘How much does it cost to buy a mountain?’
As soon as they arrived on set, Yan Jinyi discovered that many people were looking at her with admiration and respect. Some of the directors even reached out to show some kindness to her.
Eighty percent of the scenes in “The Tumultuous Harem” were set in the palace. Hence, for the past few months, she had been filming at a fixed location in the studio.
“Those following her are bodyguards, right? She’s already so impressive, does she need bodyguards?”
“Well, you have no idea. She’s just showing off and probably trying to prove that she’s really popular now.”
As soon as she met up with the crew, several actresses belonging to Liu Ran’s team had already started discussing about her.
Yan Jinyi pursed her lips and ignored them.
“Director Chen, how long more until I go offline?”
“Offline?”
She looked up and said, “Die. That’s straightforward enough, huh?”
With a look of horror, Chen Keyi asked, “Jinyi, why do you want to die? Is there something you’re troubled about?”
‘Damn it…’
“When will I finish filming my scenes?”
Being in the same crew as a bunch of fools she was afraid she could not hold on any longer.
Chen Keyi breathed a sigh of relief and said, “At the very least, two months. Why? Have you been offered to star in a new production?”
Yan Jinyi then turned to say to those actresses, “No, but those sarcastic demonesses in this crew are itching for a beating from me.”
“Yan Jinyi, you’re being too…”
Before that actress could finish, Yan Jinyi suddenly kicked the chair in front of her and questioned, “Why? Do you have an opinion? Do you think I’m deaf and blind? I’ll rip apart the mouth of anyone who dares to continue clamoring.”
The actress who was about to accuse her instantly shut up.
Everyone could see how aggressive Yan Jinyi was.
“If you have the time to gossip, why don’t you spend it on reading the script and improving your acting skills instead? You’re an arts graduate, but you’re worse than me, a graduate from a low-tier university. What an embarrassment!”
