Chapter 577 - The Reappearance of the Sagemaster

Chapter 577: The Reappearance of the Sagemaster

Translator: Alsey Editor: Chrissy

The pair of big, pale moon-sized eyes in the starry skies instantly became frightening. It was as though two enormous golden lamps were floating in the emotionless, cold, and dark universe. Apart from this place, the other areas were quite dark and desolate.

He saw one “void projection” after another from the desolate outskirts of the universe. That rusting copper coffin darted from the depths of the universe and charged forward.

The solar system had originally turned pitch black, so much so that one couldn’t see their fingers if they tried to reach their hands out. However, because of the copper coffin’s reflection from countless galaxies away, a light erupted, and the scenery here gradually became visible.

“Interesting. A person who was confirmed dead can come back to life? That can’t be possible!”

An unimaginable bigshot of the Deity Race spoke out. His voice echoed and caused Pluto, Neptune, and Saturn to tremble lightly.

The Deity race caught the wind, and the nervousness they had just felt suddenly eased off.

“That’s right! Our ancestors risked their lives to cross the outskirts of the universe and explored the crumbling ancient universe. That was when they discovered the evidence of his death. How could he still be alive?!”

Various locations across the ocean of stars had countless races watching the battle with racing hearts. As many people were stunned, they also held incredible expectations. The copper coffin’s reappearance meant that there would possibly be a remarkable great war, which would be no less than an enormous quake in the universe.

Many people held their breaths and carefully paid attention in anxiousness. If this person indeed returned, there was a possibility that it would shake the Deity race!

“Even if it really is you, so what? I’ve wanted to take you out ages ago. Back when I was rising to power, I could only kill the saints here. I couldn’t face you at the time, but now, I am no longer the same as back then!”

The big golden eyes which resembled moons erupted with frightening rays of light. His voice was so cold that there wasn’t a speck of emotion. He knew who had come, and yet he still wanted to make a move.

His eyes looked distant like they were connected to hell. Mountains of corpses and blood oceans were reflected in the depths of his eyes, the scene of hundreds if not thousands of planets being destroyed.

Because those were the battles he experienced throughout the long years!

He had personally annihilated the strong races. Who knows just how many had been killed. He had blood on his hands.

“Hmm... I smell that familiar scent of fresh blood again. Back in the old days, I was here to massacre the ranked eleventh planet in the universe. I killed until corpses were strewn across the wildlands and blood flowed like a river. I hacked the heads off of those old saints and watched the desperate looks on their faces. It really was a joy to see. These old scenes remain vivid in my mind.”

His voice was low and unhurried. He knew that a strong opponent was rushing over and yet he said this to definitely provoke him. This was also his disdain for the races on earth.

Just then, he slowly but firmly attacked. That ink-black big hand blotted out the sky and grabbed at the Earth, carrying limitless energy. Just like a black hole, the starry skies were pervaded by frightening darkness yet again.

“I’ll eradicate this planet. What can you do about it? How can you stop me?” He asked in a dreary voice. His golden eyes gleamed and illuminated the faint silhouette of a face. When he opened his mouth, his snowy white teeth looked a little scary.

This must be a living creature with extraordinary features, but the energy and aura he exuded made him unapproachable and frightening to the extreme.

The large black hand crossed over other planets and only targeted the earth. It was grand and frightening. It was difficult to imagine just how great the unrevealed magic was. The solar system was practically going to shatter.

On Earth, the faces of many evolvers turned pale, and they couldn’t help but tremble. This was the destruction of the world. Who could escape?!

The giant hand reached out, poised to destroy the heavens and earth. It was simply indefensible.

Tsch!

All of a sudden, the Earth was not the only thing illuminating. The moon poured down with runes. Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, and the sun were all unleashed frightening symbols. As they interweaved, they formed a domain that shocked the world. The entire solar system was dazzling and shook the hearts of the people.

People of the outer realms were instantly startled. Everyone had goosebumps, especially the experts of the solar system. Even the saints felt their scalps turn numb.

Who said people could enter and leave as they pleased? The entire solar system had been set up in the form of a large-scale domain. Back in the old days, the Sagemaster had come back before and deployed a frightening arrangement. It was now showing off his power.

“Hm?!”

The large black hand approaching Earth shone brightly before it was pierced with an exceptional sword qi. The gold blood which gushed out made the scene look quite terrifying.

The nine big planets and some enormous meteors were all flowing with radiance and bright colors. There were precious materials like gems and magnetic marrow buried within them, marked with the powerful symbols to form a killing domain.

“The Godslayer Domain!”

Someone drew a breath of cold air. Their bodies trembled, and their faces were pale white. This was a domain used specifically for slaying deities. Back in the old day, countless experts of the Deity race were killed, their heads falling like crackling dumplings.

Back in the old days, the Sagemaster attacked in grief and indignation, causing blood to rain from the skies. He barged through the desolate land, broke away from the pursuers, and slaughtered a certain division of the Deity Race. It was these kinds of battles that were unforgettable to the various races.

“Sagemaster, you malignant tumor! Did you really think that you can kill me with these broken runes?”

This big-shot’s voice was cold. No matter how one put it, his palm had been injured and was bleeding. If even he was in such a state while attacking this waning land, it was likely the Deity race wouldn’t be achieving any resplendence today.

Swooosh!

He moved once again. That large hand shrank rapidly. Now, the target wasn’t so obvious. He wanted to break free from the God Slaying sword qi and escape danger.

However, regardless if it were the sun or the Earth, or even the other planets and moon, they all erupted with divine light and slashed at him. The sword qi pierced through the skies and tore the universe!

Far away, the saints hiding on the sidelines trembled in fear and were panicking beyond compare. They were afraid that they too would become assassination targets. After all, they were also in this galaxy.

Fortunately, the God Slaying Domain only targeted the big shots of the Deity race!

Who could have imagined the normally calm-looking solar system had immediately become a killing ground.

At that very moment, the machine race was many light years away. The expressions of all the high-level personnel looked awful. They once dispatched earth-shattering warships toward the solar system. Now, it looked laughable. Had this domain been restored, it would practically be a moth flying into a flame. All the warships would’ve turned into fine powder!

Boom!

All of a sudden, the nine major planets swiveled oddly into a single line, creating a strange sight in the solar system. Then, they fired a divine light.

Ding!

It was as though an immortal sword had been unsheathed—the sound resembled a metallic clang, yet it was also like a dragon’s roar. A frightening scene unfolded. The string of nine planets as well as the sun formed a straight line and built a cosmic sword!

Such a scene stunned everyone. Regardless of the pale evolvers watching the fight, or the living creatures on the outskirts of the domain, everyone was stunned. This was simply unbelievable.

Was this the Sagemaster’s methods? The domain laid out in the past had actually arranged themselves into celestial forms. How was this possible?!

In that very moment, the symbols on the domain dazzled brightly and caught everyone’s attention. Energy was being driven to the very extremes. After the nine planets and the sun aligned, it formed an immortal sword—and it was being unsheathed.

Tsch!

The starry skies were slashed open and that large black hand was drenched in blood. It was cut open by the cosmic sword form, causing golden blood to fly in all directions. It shocked the sea of stars and all the races within.

This was the method of a domain researcher. No wonder he could go against heaven-illuminators back in the day despite not being at that level. He was indeed heaven-defying.

The immortal sword unsheathed. A frightening and indefensible light beam slashed across at the Deity Race powerhouse!

“How could this be?!” The person from the Deity race trembled and felt quite flustered. A terrifying character from their race had personally attacked and was actually left wounded.

That pair of golden eyes in the starry skies, bigger than the moon, revealed a hint of anger beyond compare. Within them appeared the scenes of destroyed planets afloat, mountains of corpses and oceans of blood. His intent to kill was boundless.

“Sagemaster, you corpse! You still want to hurt me after so many eras and over ancient times? Get out!”

He roared. The light which he spat out from his open mouth was all flying spears made of energy which charged at the immortal sword. His body seemed to be on fire as golden light shone brightly amidst the flow of deity power.

Ding!

Those flying spears made contact with the immortal sword in the starry skies. Sparks flew in all directions but was, in the end, hacked down by the immortal sword once again. At that moment, the Deity race big shot’s mouth was agape—he was swallowing the starry skies like a true black hole. He wanted to devour the immortal sword.

Pfttt!

Light glistened. The nine planets parted and returned to their natural orbit once again. They rotated there and unleashed ripples. Besides the immortal sword, there was also a Vajra Demon Subduing Ring-like halo comprised of those ripples. It headed toward the Deity race powerhouse in a bid to confine it.

“Hey, you Deity race giant. You bluffer! Get down here, if you’ve got the guts! You’re about to be chopped up, and yet you dare dream about annihilating the Earth?”

The toad’s mouth really deserved a beating. It truly stunned and scared many people when he shouted challenges from atop Mount Longhu. This lord wasn’t afraid of anything.

“Deity race, you guys are really lacking! This was the so-called power used to destroy the Earth? It’s nothing much. You’re about to get sliced into pieces. Don’t tell me that you came millions and millions of miles to get here just to deliver meat?!” cried the black yak.

“Deity Possession!”

In the starry skies, the big shot roared coldly as his body shrank while emitting the brightest of lights. He shrank endlessly as though he were standing through eternity. He thus escaped the immortal sword and the vajra ring, arriving far away in a flash.

“Sagemaster, I’ll wait for you to come. I shall kill you today!” His voice sounded increasingly cold and emotionless.

An ancient bronze coffin crossed the ocean of stars, then weaved through the field of stars and wormholes. It warped continuously and approached the solar system at a speed unimaginable to ordinary people.

The obstruction of the domains earlier had won him enough time to rush over. He entered the milky way, then charged towards the solar system.

It wasn’t clear just how many years the ancient coffin had floated in the universe. There was space dust upon it along with traces of the vicissitudes. However, it was still a shocking sight to behold.

“Sagemaster!”

“That person from the past has shown up again. He’s actually not dead yet?!”

“The Sagemaster is back and wants to fight the Deity race again?!”

In the universe, the leaders of numerous powerful races astonished. Their hearts raced as they stared at the milky way.

Boom!

The void shattered, and the bronze coffin emerged from the solar system, reappearing on these old lands and going straight for the powerhouse of the Deity race.

“Sagemaster, I see that you’ve resurrected from the dead!”

The expert of the Deity Race let out a roar as a golden light surged and the skies burned. The entire solar system almost exploded when he revealed his true form; a body of golden light and striking beauty.

He was very domineering. He raised his large foot and took one step forward, then hurled the deity fist forward. The attack tore the starry skies, lit up the entire solar system and eclipsed the sun. He blasted straight at the bronze coffin.

Creak!

A single opening peered upon the bronze coffin, then a simple and unadorned whip appeared. It was the Sagemaster’s Star-Studded Whip from back in the day. All of sudden, it propped up and faced the opponent.

Boom!

The striking divine light rushed up as brilliance drowned the area. It was as though the entire solar system had ignited. Not a thing could be seen. And that was just the first strike! Yet it was so fierce and terrifying.
