Chapter 236 - 236 Ch. 236 Elliot’s Favorite Person

Anxia wanted to see the child because she wanted to get to know her child. Their meeting in his mother’s room didn’t go well, and she hurt the boy.

Yang Guang… Elliot, what a name for that boy. Just as Lori was her oasis, Elliot was like a light in her dark world. If Lori found out she had an older brother, how happy would that kid be?

Her heart grew warm after hearing Elliot was in her father’s room. With speedy steps, even close to running, Anxia headed to her father’s room. She was about to open the door wide to hug her son when she heard her son’s sad voice.

“Grandpa, I met mama and papa in London. Grandma promised to let me go there after I memorized a bunch of languages. They are very friendly, and I love them. My sister is charming, and her eyes are special. I’m excited to see mama here, but… she doesn’t like me.”

Anxia felt her heart burst into tears hearing that. That is not true. Anxia also likes him. She only needed time to ingest this shocking news. She was suspicious and couldn’t believe Elliot was her son—she thought Loraine tried to fool her.

If Anxia could replay the time of their meeting, Anxia would hug the boy right away, no matter if her mother used him to pressure her even more.

Her hand lifted to open the door, and she stepped inside slowly. Anxia felt her heartache when she saw Elliot leave her father’s bed and walk away from her to hide behind Jamie’s feet.

“Can I call you Elliot? I remember you telling me you have two names.”

.....

Elliot peeked out from under Jamie’s long skirt and glanced at her shyly before nodding his head once.

“Elliot, I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t mean to avoid you. That… I was still shocked because I never knew that… that…” that her mother lied to her and hid the fact she gave birth to twins for so many years. “I’m sorry that I was your mother. You should have a better mother than me.”

Elliot came out of his hiding place and said in his melodious voice that made Anxia’s heart feel surrounded by soft clouds.

“No. Aunt Jamie says you’re the best mom in the world.”

Aunt Jamie? Anxia glanced at Jamie while the woman lowered her head as if not daring to meet her eyes.

“If you think I’m the best mother in the world, will you let me hug you?” asked Anxia as she squatted down and opened her hands.

Elliot raised his head to look at Jamie with his innocent expression, and after receiving a nod from the mute woman, the boy took small, unhurried steps toward her.

Anxia wondered why Elliot seemed closer to Jamie than his grandmother, but she didn’t care. At this moment, the child… her son, walked up and hugged her neck with her two tiny arms.

Reflexively, Anxia hugged the child with emotion, and her eyes filled with tears again when she heard a whisper in her ear.

“I’m looking forward to your hug, mama. You have no idea how much I want to be in your arms.”

Anxia couldn’t hold back her tears and cried while tightening her arms. After wiping away her tears with one hand, Anxia loosened her embrace to look closely at Elliot’s face.

“You really look like me. Why is God so cruel to separate me from you? You must have suffered.”

Elliot shook his head to answer his mother. “That is not true. Grandma is kind to me and prepared for all my needs here. And I have Aunt Jamie who accompanies me here.” Elliot looked at Jamie with an awe-filled gaze—her son’s expression did not escape Anxia’s eyes.

Not only was Jamie close to her father, but it seemed this mute woman had also succeeded in stealing her son’s heart.

Why did her mother allow this mute woman to be here?

Jamie realized Anxia was bothered by her presence, so she knowingly walked out to let the mother and soy pair enjoy some time together.

“Elliot,”

“Hm?”

“Elliot,”

“Yes, mama?”

“Elliot,”

“Why do you keep calling my name?”

Anxia chuckled at her son’s confused expression. The way the boy pursed his lips and tilted his head to the side was precisely what Lori did when she was confused.

“I just wanted to call your name,” Anxia replied gently as she rubbed her son’s head affectionately. “Did grandma give you a name?”

“Um… I don’t know. But Aunt Jamie gave me the name Elliot.”

“Aunt Jamie did?”

Anxia sensed that no one was outside and was sure Jamie had left and not overheard their conversation. Because of that, Anxia could talk freely with her son without fear of being overheard by strangers.

“Elliot, you seem very close to Aunt Jamie. Do you like her more than me?”

“Of course not. I like you. I’m looking forward to our meeting, and I almost forgot to refrain myself not to call you mama and papa in London. But nanny has warned me to seal my lips if I ever want to see you guys again.”

“Nanny? Ah, the nanny who brought you to London?” Elliot nodded his head in response to her question. “What would you do if I told you I didn’t like her that much? I don’t like Aunt Jamie being too close to your grandfather or you.”

“Why? Aunt Jamie is very good to me. She… she is my second favorite person.” Elliot replied shyly, making Anxia let out a resigned sigh.

“So I’m your third favorite person?” Anxia guessed, considering that this child also loved Loraine Shu very much.

“Of course not. You are number one… papa is also number one… but I don’t know which one to choose.”

Anxia was stunned to hear this. “Then what about grandma?”

“Grandma? She…”
