Chapter 773: No One Had To Worry About Huo Yao
Most of the students in the exam hall were still working on the comprehension section. Only a handful of students had proceeded with the composition. Even the ones who had gotten to the composition section felt a headache coming on when they saw the question.
Since they were in modern times, most youngsters were not well versed in Chinese classics, so it was very challenging to come up with an entire composition.
There was still over an hour to go before the exam limit finished. Huo Yao raised her head to glance around. She wondered if she would distract her fellow students if she left the exam hall early.
After thinking about it, she decided to be nice.
The moment the bell rang to indicate that the paper was over, Huo Yao was first to stand up and hand in her exam script before she left the exam hall.
She heard the other students talking about the language exam paper when she left the bathroom, especially how hard the last question was.
Huo Yao remained expressionless as she walked out of the campus.
Yi Lianfan was standing at the school entrance when she got there, so she went over to him.
“How did it go for you?” Yi Lianfan looked at Huo Yao. He knew that she had been facing trouble with her language, so he asked her how she felt about the paper.
“It was okay,” answered Huo Yao softly and nodded.
Yi Lianfan knew she would only speak like this when she was pretending to be modest, so it meant that those questions were easy for her.
He did not have to worry about Huo Yao.
Yi Lianfan sighed in his heart.
Before long, the two of them walked out of the school gates side by side. Huo Yao and Yi Lianfan’s parents were waiting outside. The moment they spotted them walking out of school, they went towards them one after another.
When they heard that the exam was okay, both families were delighted to hear this.
Mrs. Yi had a great impression of Huo Yao and Huo Yao had also helped to treat her ailment, so she invited Song Ning and Huo Jinyan to have lunch with them at the nearby hotel.
Since Mrs. Yi was very enthusiastic about it, Song Ning could not turn her down.
Yi Lianfan’s parents were cultured people, so they got along well with Song Ning and Huo Jinyan. Also, Mrs. Yi found Song Ning strangely familiar.
However, she felt that it was inappropriate to ask.
After lunch, both families retired to the hotels where they booked rooms for their kids to rest in.
Huo Yao was taking the Math paper in the afternoon, so she went into the exam hall at 2:50 pm.
After the invigilator gave out the papers, Huo Yao glanced at them cursorily before starting.
Judging from the first paper she took in the morning, it was clear that the exam was particularly hard this year. The other students in the exam hall felt heavy-hearted after going through the questions.
It was simply too tough.
They had done their fair share of past year papers for revision, but it was never as hard as this. A few of the major questions were not even a part of their revision.
Only Huo Yao was able to finish the questions effortlessly while the rest of the students cracked their heads to no avail. A lot of students were unable to come up with the answers even after thinking for a long time.
Huo Yao finished all the questions in just 50 minutes. She lay prone on the desk when she was done and waited to hand in her script.
By this time, most of the other students were only halfway through the paper. All their rough papers were filled with writing and only Huo Yao’s rough papers remained blank.
She did not even need to work out the questions on the rough paper.
She was the first examinee to stand up and leave when the bell rang yet again.
