Chapter 717 - 717: Luo Feng’s Strength

Everyone was flabbergasted, especially Andy, who was sprawled on the ground. After all, he had eagerly awaited the arrival of his boss. Yet, not only did his boss not defend him, but he also seemed ready to give him a couple of kicks.

“Boss, I swear it wasn’t me who provoked him. He was the one who approached me, expressing interest in dealing with antiques. We conducted business as usual. But who could’ve anticipated? He scouted my warehouse during the day and stole all the valuable items at night!” Andy exclaimed.

“Boss, I’ve been with you for years and never have I been disrespected like this. If he looks down on me this much, he surely doesn’t think highly of you either.

If you don’t put him in his place today, I’m afraid your reputation in all of Florida might suffer.”

Andy tried his best to justify himself. Yet, his boss remained unmoved.

“Are you joking? Since when do you speak on my behalf?” The man’s face darkened as he looked at Andy. “Who are you to me? If someone wrongs you, must I always intervene? Lately, it feels as if I’m the one seeking your favor!”

Those words silenced Andy instantly. His life was in these people’s hands; how could he dare defy them?

Seeing Andy fall silent, the man turned to Luo Feng with a smile. “My apologies for this mess. I never anticipated that Andy would provoke someone like you.

Would you consider sparing him this time for my sake? He may be reckless, but he doesn’t deserve death.”

“If you grant me this favor, I assure you, you’ll be generously rewarded.”

Luo Feng’s interest was piqued. “What kind of reward are you suggesting?”

Without hesitation, the man replied, “I’m aware of your passion for antiques. I have a few unique items in my collection, acquired during my own phase of antique hunting. I’ve lost interest now, so if you’re keen, I’d gladly gift them to you.”

Given the man’s stature, Luo Feng expected that whatever he offered wouldn’t be mere trinkets. Luo Feng held no real grudge against Andy, and if he could obtain valuable items in return, he wasn’t going to decline.

“Since you’ve put it that way, I’ll grant you this favor.”

The two agreed that the antiques would be delivered to Luo Feng later. Trusting their word, Luo Feng, accompanied by Luna, made his exit.

Once they had left, Andy, still resentful, turned to his boss. “Why did we have to swallow our pride? Given our strength in Florida, do we really need to fear an outsider like him?”

However, instead of a direct response, his boss countered, “If you know he’s an outsider, do you know where he’s from?”

“Of course. He’s from Atlanta and owns a small logistics company there. I’ve done my research. He’s just a skilled fighter, but can he really outmatch our entire gang?

It was clear Andy had looked into Luo Feng’s background. But this made his boss even more frustrated.

“If you knew he’s from Atlanta, did you look into what he’s done there?”

Andy was taken aback. “Why? He’s just a small-time logistics company owner.

How influential can he be?”

The boss then detailed Luo Feng’s exploits in Atlanta, leaving Andy in utter disbelief.

“That Cosmic Tower might not be a gang, but their combat prowess far surpasses ours. Even they couldn’t handle him. And you think we can?”

Andy had no reply.

“Understand this: Luo Feng is not to be trifled with. Thankfully, he chose not to pursue the matter further. Ensure you deliver that Buddha statue from my residence to him promptly, and mind your manners. Who knows? He might prove useful in the future.”

Though reluctant, Andy complied. From the boss’s words, one could infer that Luo Feng must have some formidable backing. Even if they couldn’t forge strong ties with him, they should avoid provoking him at all costs, lest they meet an untimely end..
