地震时怎样保护自己

Chapter 185 - 186 Simon White (2)

Last time, Zhao Zihao said he was going to participate in a charity event in the countryside, and Lu Weixi presumed it was the same this time. She briefly instructed the caregiver and left without giving it much thought.

The flight the next day was really early, so she went to bed early. After some contemplation, she told Aunt Hao, “I will be on a business trip for a few days and might not be home for four or five days.”

Aunt Hao nodded, “Should I tell the young master?”

Lu Weixi shook her head, “No need.”

All she wanted was to quietly board the ship, find Boss Liao quietly, and hand over the design drafts to him quietly. If they accepted it, all the better. If not, she would consider it as a trip. After all, the flight ticket and cruise ticket were provided for free by the Hanhai Group. The cruise cabin and food were also free, so it would be a waste not to go.

As for Qin Zhiyou’s side, whether he decided to bring Liu Yiyi or Xiang Yirou with him, it had no relation to her and she didn’t care. The Qin family and others were beyond her concern.

Anyway, they were all people of no consequence.

Perhaps due to running around so much, Lu Weixi went to sleep early and slept soundly. She didn’t notice when Qin Zhiyou returned home. His flight was also scheduled for the early morning, even an hour earlier than Lu Weixi’s.

Even though in a few hours the plane would take off, and all his documents were taken to the company for an easy commute, he still came back home.

As soon as he entered the house, Aunt Hao came up to greet him and was about to tell him about Lu Weixi’s business trip. However, Qin Zhiyou shook his head and hushed her, afraid of waking her up. He didn’t even change his clothes, but went straight upstairs gently, pushed open the door of the bedroom.

It was four in the morning, the time when people sleep the deepest. Even Lu Weixi, with her weak nerves, didn’t notice Qin Zhiyou’s arrival once she had truly fallen asleep.

Because he was afraid of waking her, he didn’t turn on the light, so naturally, he didn’t notice the 20-inch suitcase she placed by the window.

He sat on the edge of the bed, originally just wanting to take a look at her. But after looking at her, he couldn’t resist moving a little bit closer, wanting to breathe in her breath. As their breaths mingled, he couldn’t resist reaching out his fingers, gently brushing her cheek with a feather-light touch. In the end, his lips replaced his fingers.

But the kiss was extremely light, like a breeze gently passing by, a drizzle falling softly. Lu Weixi’s eyelashes fluttered a little as if she was somewhat uncomfortable, but she didn’t wake up. In the faint light seeping in from the corridor, Qin Zhiyou saw her brows slightly furrowed, and he planted another kiss on her brow, smoothly calming the wrinkles on her forehead.

He wanted to say something else but feared waking her up. His Adam’s apple bobbed and in the end he could only murmur beside her ear, “Xixi, Xixi, I miss you so much–”

The murmur slowly faded, then came the sound of the door closing, the sound of his receding footsteps, as well as the sound of a car driving away.

When all sounds had disappeared, Lu Weixi still hadn’t woken up. She scrunched her eyebrows, her mind a blur, feeling as if someone was continuously calling her “Xixi”, as if a pair of hands was gently stroking her, as if a familiar pair of lips was covering her own lips. It seemed as if a pair of eyes was looking at her, deep and distant.

Calling her “Xixi”, it should be her parents or perhaps Qin Zhigu.

But in her half-awake state, she felt that this blurry figure resembled – Qin Zhiyou?
