Chapter 859 Four Pillars: Sovereigns
Chapter 859 Four Pillars: Sovereigns
Muttering those words to himself, the young man briefly recalled the previous memory he had seen regarding the First Forger, vividly remembering the peacefulness amidst the slight tension that surrounded the hall in the beginning.
However, that all changed once the system update arrived, reseting everyone\'s strength back to what they were before.
Recalling how brutal and how tyrannical the First Forger was when he fought all of those in the hall back then that had malicious intentions in their eyes, the young man faintly shuddered in response.
Returning his attention to the present, Valyr\'s eyes widened in slight surprise as he sensed the overwhelming aura the man exuded.
"I guess a long time has passed once more since then, considering how the First Forger seems to have reached Rank 5 already," said the young man, wondering to himself how much time exactly had passed since the last memory.
Fortunately, he had gotten a response to this question before he could even voice it out.
"As far as I remember, around six or seven decades have passed after the previous memory you saw ended."
"?!" With his eyes wide from shock, the young man frantically looked around, only to let out a faint sigh as he found the origin of the voice that spoke.
"You\'re here as well?" asked Valyr in slight curiosity, unsure why Vaughn would tag along in viewing a memory with him.
Hearing the young man\'s words, Vaughn let out a slight chuckle. "Now you\'re making it sound like I\'m unwelcome."
"In any case, feel free to ask any questions regarding what\'s going on in the memory along the way. I think I\'ve gone through all of the memories the Triad Gates has to offer at least a dozen times each already."
With that, Valyr went silent once more as he briefly watched what was happening below.
With the man\'s words continuing to linger in his mind, the young man eventually decided to take him up on his offer and posed a question to the former.
"So… what exactly happened during the time between the previous memory I saw and the current memory?"
"What did you see at the end of your previous memory exactly?" asked Vaughn in response, telling Valyr that he needed the information for greater detail.
Nodding at those words, the young man then briefly summarized the previous memory he\'d seen regarding the First Forger, naturally emphasizing the end of the memory once he was done.
"The First Forger upgraded the race-specific artifact he\'d forged. Got it." Vaughn nodded after the young man was done explaining.
Briefly mulling over the question he\'d gotten in silence, the man eventually opened his mouth as he looked at Valyr with a calm expression. "Yeah, around seven to eight decades have passed since that point and the memory we\'re viewing right now."
Whoosh!
Just as he said those words, Vaughn made a few gestures with his hands, causing the sight below to become frozen in time.
Whilst Valyr looked at what had unfolded with slight shock, the man continued with his gestures, releasing a bit of his own energy to create what looked to be a mirror of sorts.
Making a bit of noise to snap Valyr\'s attention back to reality, Vaughn told the young man to focus his sights on the mirror before utilizing a bit of energy to create an image on it.
Swoosh!
With the mirror showing a brief overview of the multiple fights the First Forger had gone through, Vaughn began to talk.
"After obtaining his class and upgrading the Dominion of Humanity to Legendary grade, the First Forger went on a series of campaigns that allowed humanity\'s territory to greatly expand."
"At the same time, he and many others guided the people on what they needed to do with the advent of the system update, utilizing the setting of war to put pressure on them."
"Unsurprisingly, this action caused the might of the human race to surpass the peak it had reached before, birthing a generation of humans that could truly stand toe to toe against the orcs in terms of strength."
"At the same time, the flexibility of class choices thanks to the system update also meant that there was a massive boom in the number of people who had taken up the production class."
Saying these words, Vaughn went on to explain that humanity at the time had actually attained a level of technology nearing the Age of Scientific Revolution in equivalence, which undoubtedly left Valyr at a loss for words.
After all, the gap between the Early Middle Ages and the Age of Scientific Revolution wasn\'t so easily surmounted.
Of course, with a bit of thinking, the young man knew that Vaughn and the Four Pillars\' Inheritance had something to do with it.
Nevertheless, he still found a shame since Veldanyr would have been at the Renaissance Age or the First Industrial Revolution at this point if not for the inheritance.
After giving Valyr some time to digest the information he\'d given him, Vaughn then continued where he left off, talking about how humanity\'s territory had greatly expanded those past few decades.
"By the end of those eight decades, a couple of human empires had been established, all of them governing the various kingdoms, cities, and towns that had been founded by humanity throughout its lifespan."
"In fact, the hall that\'s below us is the center of political power for the strongest human empire at the time," said Vaughn with a faint smile. "Naturally, that\'s all thanks to the First Forger right there."
Feeling like he had now given all of the information Valyr would need to get up to speed, Vaughn made a few gestures with his fingers once more, causing the memory below to continue where it had left off.
In a matter of minutes, all of the people in the hall radiated a level of battle intent that rivaled many groups Valyr had come across in his past life.
Focusing his attention on the First Forger, the young man took note of the Dominion of Humanity that was equipped, its design and aura having undergo through a massive change thanks to how much time had passed.
Standing up from his seat, the First Forger then led the people out of the hall, prompting Vaughn to move them to a place outside the hall.
Whoosh!
Getting a firsthand look at the vast territory the empire that the First Forger created occupied, Valyr\'s mouth went agape as he felt that his vision was lacking in order to see the entirety of the empire with one glance.
With Valyr continuing to admire the large territory of the empire on the side, a faint smile adorned Vaughn\'s face as he waved his hand, causing the passage of time in the memory to speed up.
With that, the young man snapped back to reality as he watched almost all of the people within the empire seemingly move like gears in a machine.
Like clockwork, all of the people contributed one way or another to the cause that would allow them to move closer towards a single purpose.
In their case, the single purpose that they wanted to succeed in was to become victorious against their final push into the orcs\' territory.
Though everything was drastically sped up, Valyr could still clearly the various divisions of humanity working towards that one purpose, eventually culminating into a giant event by the time a few more months in the memory had passed.
Swoosh!
With Vaughn returning the passage of time back to normal in the memory, Valyr\'s eyes were instantly fixated to what seemed to be a show of force outside one of the empire\'s gates.
Commanding an army that seemed to house thousands upon thousands of people willing to fight for the cause, the First Forger stood at the very forefront of this formation, radiating an aura of power that far eclipsed even the commanders he had chosen.
Briefly glancing at the various brigades, regiments, and battalions that had been formed for this exact moment, the man raised the Dominion of Humanity up in the air, causing all of those who looked at it to feel a sort of resonance with it. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Seeing that he had caught the attention of everyone with his action, the First Forger nodded in satisfaction before opening his mouth.
"Everyone, we have gathered here today to finally carve a piece out of this world that we could truly claim as ours."
"I\'m sure that all of us recognize the various sacrifices the men before us have done in order to get us to where we are today. If not for them, humanity wouldn\'t have gotten to this point where we could now pose a threat to the other races."
Taking in a deep breath, the First Forger infused mana into his voice before bellowing out with great force. "Men!"
"There is no doubt that all of us here will be laying our lives for the sake of humanity\'s future."
"However, let me assure you. We may be heading there as if we were serving our lives to them on a silver platter."
"But we will return. We will return victorious."
"We will return… as sovereigns of this world!"
