Chapter 130 - 130: She Needs Him
Cleo is out!
It had been like a decoration all this time. After getting used to the presence of the pet box. Purple almost forgot about it completely!
Cleo managed to open the top of the pet box with its head, using its brute force to deform the metal lock, before the glass box finally broke open.
Purple’s hands and feet were cold, and her whole body was stiff!
It had been fine before, so why did it suddenly come out today!
Purple glanced at the little crow on the couch and suddenly understood – Cleo was hungry! It wanted to eat the little crow!
If it couldn’t fill its stomach, it might even eat her along with it for just 0.15 dollars!
Purple was on the verge of tears.
Damn that snake, damn Alexander Summers, damn unreliable pet box manufacturer!
Damn it all!
Luckily, Cleo’s speed was incredibly slow. Purple shakily ran over and pushed the opened glass panel back into place with all her strength!
You bastard, you’re not allowed to come out!
But she never expected Cleo to be so strong. Even with her pressing down on the panel, the glass still managed to be pushed up.
She suddenly remembered what Alexander Summers had said – Cleo weighed over a hundred pounds…
Purple’s face turned completely pale. Her entire body didn’t even weigh a hundred pounds!
As Cleo continued to struggle inside, Purple was at her wit’s end. Almost subconsciously, she thought of Alexander Summers.
Although she truly detested and feared him, she couldn’t deny that she always felt safe around him.
After all, he was a demon. By his side, nothing could hurt her, except the demon himself.
In her panic, Purple took out her phone and called Alexander Summers.
“Where are you?!”
As soon as the call was connected, she blurted out anxiously without waiting for his response, “Hurry back! Cleo is getting out!”
“Purple?” Alexander was surprised to receive her call. “I can’t come back right now.”
Purple’s heart dropped when she heard his reply!
He always wanted to stick around her when she didn’t want to see him. But now, when she needed him the most, he refused to come back!
“Don’t worry, Cleo won’t harm people. If you’re afraid, just call the security guard to help.” It seemed like Alexander was genuinely busy; there was faint arguing in the background.
Purple felt both helpless and agitated, “It won’t work! It opened the lock! I’m holding it down now, but if I let go, it’ll get out!”
Alexander didn’t reply, seemingly hesitant.
In despair, Purple yelled, “If you don’t come back, what am I supposed to do?!”
If you don’t come back, what am I supposed to do?
Her emotional outburst may have been innocent, but to Alexander, it sounded almost like a sweet love confession, filled with tender affection.
“I’ll come back right away.” Just like a headstrong teenager, Alexander’s heart raced with excitement, and he agreed without any hesitation.
Zack Wallace, who was beside him, was taken aback and exclaimed, “Sir?!”
You can’t be serious? The cunning old foxes of Faithford Family, as well as uncles and cousins from the Howard Family, were all present. You can’t just leave!
Nonetheless, Alexander Summers really left.
His heart was ablaze.
Purple had taken the initiative to call him.
Purple said she needed him.
Just hearing her soft voice, Alexander could easily imagine her helpless, terrified expression. She must be both pitiful and adorable; so fragile and pouting that anyone who saw her would want to hold her and cherish her deeply.
He wished he could be by her side immediately.
Thirty minutes later, Alexander Summers showed up at the entrance of the small villa.
He walked into the living room to find Purple in a hilarious position; half lying and half straddling the glass pet box. Her eyes widened with shock at seeing him, but Alexander couldn’t help but laugh…
Purple was mortified, her face flushing red as she explained, “It’s too strong! I… I can only press it down like this…”
Alexander leaned against the wall and laughed, his amusement making him more infuriating by the second.
Angrily blushing, Purple snapped, “Hurry up and help me! You bastard!”
