Chapter 135: A Real Woman...
|Eek!| A surprised shriek came out in a cute manner, as she wasn't expecting such sudden movements from her master.
However, she quickly regained her bearings and latched onto his Stolid figureher expression morphed from one of startlement to one of extreme blissand that cute nose of hers snuggled right up in his robes.
|Mhmm|
She wouldn't deny that she had been craving this spot for a 'long' time now. That stupid Azmond and his ridiculous 'leveling frenzy'! *Humph*.
Her mood was more than a little perturbed at him letting go of her while hunting the later half of his quests. And he did it under some stupid pretext like, 'You could get hurt when I am fighting these stronger monsters, so stay.'.
I told him repeatedly that I am an incorporeal being, and thus can't be harmed by mortal means, but that obstinate, infuriating man responded by shooing me off and speaking some more nonsense like, "There is always a chance you could get hurt, so stay for me, please...?"
It was already bad enough that he had gone off and collected a wide assortment of women from the different monster villages he was assigned as quests. His Pokemon collection had already reached an incalculable level after completing 10 quests, for God's sake!
His actions of letting go of her only put the mood she had in even more dire strates
Though this transitory hug alleviated her annoyance, if only by a little...
Only a little bit! He still has to make it up to me later!
'Or, at least he would have to do such a thing if I were a real woman like his Crystalline'
An imperceptible, self-deprecating smile emerged on her effervescent expression before it disappeared.
It was almost like it was never there to begin with.
.....
Azmond, unbeknownst to the conflicted emotions of his companion, blazed through the skies at speeds surpassing 40 times the speed of sound!
** BOOoOOMM ** ** BOOoOM **
The number of sonic booms that followed behind his fiery trail was growing by the second, as loud, boisterous explosions continuously resounded out across the seemingly endless lands below.
...
Sentient life was not very uncommon in the Great Wildlands Forest; however, sentient life on the level of humans was few and far between. Hence, the complete and bleak number of beings capable of witnessing a spectacle like the one Azmond produced when he flew overhead amounted to zero.
One of the leading causes of such a scenario was the area he had been in since getting dropped off in the Great Wildlands Forest, which was designated as one of the 'Forbidden Lands' that surrounded a decent number of kingdoms.
There was the AquaRing Kingdom to the North, SunBurn Kingdom to the South, The EarthHaven Kingdom to the West, and the vast number of monster kingdoms that lay inside the very heart of the Great Wildlands Forest.
Such kingdoms dominated by powerful monsters spread out through every area of the forest and even had their claws dug into the extreme East of the Great Wildlands Forest!
The Goblin Kingdom and its king, the 'Goblin King', were one such case of a kingdom ruled by monsters. However, the 'Goblin King' was considered one of the weakest of the 'Monster Kings/Queens' that ruled over the tens of millions of miles that made up the 'Great Wildlands Forest'.
And not too long from now...
A certain event that would rope in all the Paragon forces of the Great Wildlands Forest would soon commencean event that would have a new contender, one not from these lands!
A contender that would bring with him nothing but utter tumultuous chaos!
A tall, handsome man with facial features that would elicit the envy of the gods traveled through the skies above the Great Wildlands Forest with a perplexed expression plastered on his stoic face.
"Boundless."
|Yes. I know| She responded instantaneously.
"What is going on here?" He asked with a confounded countenance.
It had already been over 10 minutes since they left the collapsed mountain where Azmond disposed of the 120-foot-long drake.
But something unexpected occurred a few minutes into their journey
The terrain never changed from the exact same geography that was there five minutes ago.
They were flying over the same place over and over again, even though they were in constant motionflying straight ahead.
So why?
Why were they flying over the same spot repeatedly? The only thing they saw in their vision was the sight of a large quantity of trees in the unusual shape of a sword.
There had to have been hundreds of thousands of colossal trees that dominated the landscape below, with every single one of them fitting the perfect mold of a huge Eastern-style sword.
Boundless's knowing voice sounded out shortly after. |We are in a type of static motion transit.|
"And that means?"
|Something here enacted a type of force field that had two different portals on both sides of said 'force field'. And these 'portals' are simply taking you from one side of the 'forcefield' back to the other side of the 'forcefield'.| She stated so in a mildly robotic tone.
|At least that is how I'd explain it to one lacking in the frontal lobe department!|
Before her bubbly attitude came back in full swing!
A large spasming session started for Azmond as he tried to soothe his growing annoyance. He had the sudden urge to give this busty beauty a piece of his mind, but held off in the end
'Violence is not the solution for violence or some bullcrap like that.' He 'reassured' himself with a twitching smile.
