BXBX NOVEL Chapter 248: The Blue Vermillion Bird That Blotted Out The Sky!

The bird screech only got louder and louder as the body of the giant blue Vermillion bird ultimately came into view.
"This one's a big one," Azmond muttered while the bright sky suddenly turned pitch black.
Everything within a 1000-mile radius had turned from night to day as the blue Vermillion bird up above blotted out the sky!
Its wingspan stretched on for hundreds of miles, as they were at such a wide scale that with just a simple movement of its wings, it could cause natural disasters at a national level!
Nonetheless, that wasn't the only surprising thing about the Blue Vermillion body looming over the crystal world below, as it may look like a simple exotic blue bird if one didn't observe close enoughwith its feathers being eerily similar to those of blue parrots back on earth; however, there was something extremely special about the feathers, aside from their enormous size, of course.
That something being that every single one of them was tinged with bright gold, which made the blue Vermillion bird look like something that descended straight from the heavens!
And it would come off quite majestic if not for that savage look on its facea savage look that clearly indicated it had already lost its mind, exactly like all the monsters that came after Azmond before this one.
They all had at least that in common.

It screeched once it had found this targeta small speck of dust that lay situated on a'small' mountain below it.
WAAAA!!
After confirming that this ant was the right ant, it started to build up immense levels of energy within its beak, seemingly prepared to evaporate the human, along with everything in a one-thousand-mile radius!
A massive ball of blue energy swirled around inside of the Blue Vermillion Bird's beak, as that level of energy only appeared to become greater and greater!
RUMBLE!!
The translucent mountains and earth below started to violently tremble as tremors capable of scaling entire cities coursed throughout the land!
Crack! Crack! Crumble!
Entire mountain ranges started to fall apart as avalanche after avalanche was unleashed on the crimson-colored world below!
And, in the midst of all that chaos and destruction, an otherworldly handsome man gazed up at the grandiose Blue Vermillion Bird with an ice-cold gaze.
He activated his Discerning Quantum Eye and took a glance at the stat sheet of the giant, Blue Vermillion Bird.

Following such a set of words was the subsequent release of a mile-wide space attributed crimson crescent blade.

It zipped through the air at speeds thousands of times faster than the speed of sound, aiming directly at the Blue Vermillion Bird!
The Blue Vermillion bird, upon noticing a threat to its life glazing right toward it, and with not enough time to evade, went with the next best option...
It put everything it had into its energy ball attack!
WAAAAA!!!
It burned away its entire life force in that attack!
The blue energy ball building up inside its beak instantly expanded to hundreds of miles in diameter before it reached a point where it could no longer fit inside the Blue Vermillion Bird's beak.
It wasted no time after giving up everything it had, as it launched the collosal, blue energy ball right at Azmond!
BZZZTT!
Electricity and unknown energy sources cracked off of the blue energy ball as it explosively spiraled down at the ant-like figure of Azmond!
RUMBLEE!!!
Everything within a two-thousand-mile radius started to crumble and break apart, as the mountains that were still standing before were no longer there...
Even with the Crystal World being an area quite high on the Mana density scale, the Blue Vermillion Bird's attack didn't seem to care one single bit as it blew through the Crystal World and shattered everything in its path!
Everything besides a seemingly tiny, crimson-colored crescent space blade zipping through the air at speeds surpassing anything the Blue Vermillion Bird had ever witnessed!.
The two opposing energies clashed in a magnificent show of bright radiant lights and splendiferous energies sparking outward in every direction!
Crimson-colored spacial attributes and the innate azure-blue energies of the Blue Vermillion Bird's attacks initiated contact for but a moment...
And that was all it took for the five hundred-mile wide rampaging spirit bomb to split in half!
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
A loud explosion reverberated across this piece of the Crystal World as the remnant energies of the blue energy ball spread out into the surrounding area!
Blue shooting stars fell across the lands as entire mountain ranges and crystal-wood forests were utterly obliterated!
Such a view would make for quite the screensaver if one could back up a safe enough distance not to die immediately upon impact...
Not that such a scenario would be possible to begin with, considering that Azmond had already placed a soul essence barrier around this entire spacea soul essence barrier that quartered off the entire fight happening within.
He had become far more adept at using soul essence barriers after breaking through so many realms in quick succession. It had reached a point where he could even send out soul essence barriers via a secondary positioning over a seemingly indefinite distance!
Say, if Azmond had increased his strength even further and wanted to put even stronger precautionary measures around Crystalline, then he could do it as easily as snapping a finger.
Now, this wasn't an omnipotent ability, and it still required him to have a good enough affinity with the person to allow him to put a mid-way transmitter on said person.
However, it was still a good step in the right direction, and there might even come a day that he could discreetly put such a soul essence barrier on an enemy, only to later activate it and kill the enemy at a later date!
Although that matter would be for a time far further into the future
