Chapter 283: 90,000 Miles, Tortalions!
Boundless couldn\'t help but exclaim inside her head when she saw the interactions between Azmond and Calista.
|\'How can he be so aware of what a girl wants, while also being denser than the heaviest metal on earth!?\'|
She couldn\'t understand it!
On a side note, it looked like everyone became a little confused after entering the swan ship.
Speaking of the Swan ship...
It was scaling the wall leading to the third step, mere minutes away from making it over.
...
WHIZZ!!
The two thousand-meter-long swan ship zipped up the wall leading to the third step!
BSOOSH!
It changed direction as it entered horizontal flight before leaning upward at a vertical angle.
|Yay! We\'ve finally made it to the third step!| Boundless exclaimed.
"Hmm"
The first thing Azmond did upon making it to the third floor was send out his divine sense.
He wished to know just how far he could extend out his divine sense after breaking through to the Middle Quantum Golden Core Formation Realm.
And such an event gave him just the excuse he needed!
OOOM!
It reached outward, quickly surpassing 10,000 miles!
15,000 miles 25,000 miles 40,000 miles 55,000 miles!
And it didn\'t just stop there, as it continued enveloping everything around it.
Azmond bore witness to all the blood-colored scenery with a bird\'s-eye view, as everything he could see of the third step was extremely similar to the second and first steps.
The only difference was that the ruby-like trees, grass, mountains, et cetera were all a cleaner shade of red. The transparency of all the topography was also far easier to glean through.
But neither the geography nor the ruby-like lands were what interested him.
Instead, it was the thirty thousand-meter-long lion-turtle hybrids that wandered around the red-dyed lands with thunderous steps!
Azmond\'s divine sense only grew in how far it encompassed as the 65,000-mile mark passed him by.
75,000. 78,000 82,000 85,000
It continued expanding before it ultimately ended up capping at 90,000 miles!
And within the scope of those 90,000 miles, he could see thousands of those enormous lion-turtle hybrids aimlessly meandering about the crimson lands.
He became a little curious about them, so he decided to open up a stat panel of one that was passing below the Swan ship.
A bright light flashed, and a system screen appeared.
BLING!
[Tortalion: Tier 0: Level 248]
{[Realm: Initial Stages of Early Void Refining]},
{[Stats: Strength: 110,750k
Speed: 103,460k
Defense: 108,210k
Qi: 101,240k
{[Relationship Status: Neutral]}
[Basic Information: The Tortalion is a beast, typically in the Early Void Refining Realm, that travels along the third through nineteenth floor\'s of the Luminous Grounds in the Nightmare Council.
[It houses millions of monsterkin as a form of \'housing\' is one of its main purposes. The Tortalion was the second hybrid breed crested by a few insane monsterkin scientists.]
[It\'s sole purpose for creation; Trying to take her another step further toward creating mobile world\'s], Accomplishment status [Failed]
[These \'world\'s\' were supposed to allow a way for the mass majority of the monsterkin to travel out past the Starry Seaboard without needing to be in the Tribulation Transcendence Realm] [Failed]
[Reason for failure: The Tortalions died upon making it a few meters out from the border between the starry seaboard and the outer rims. They were not strong enough to resist the spacial winds.]]}
Azmond glanced over the information presented to him, and the first thing he noticed was that the details concerning the \'background information\' of the Tortalion were eerily similar to what he saw when he looked at the Anglerfant\'s stat page.
\'It looks like these \'Tortalions\' are the second attempt at creating a \'habitable-mobile world that could have the chance of living out in space\'. But these ones, just like the Anglerfant\'s, ended up as nothing but failure\'s.\'
He started thinking to himself with an introspective train of thought.
\'The question is, why would these \'insane scientists\' send away all their failed experiments to the second through nineteenth floor\'s?\'
That truly was something that confounded him, as he not only saw \'Tortalion\'s\' on the third floor but also the Anglerfants that were on the second floor.
In fact, they even appeared to be living in harmony!
\'One is more carnivore than the other, not to mention larger, and yet...\'
Azmond looked out the window and noticed that a couple of the Anglerfant\'s and Tortalions had even started working together.
It was such an odd thing to see two creatures, tens of thousands of meters in size, peacefully function together in the same area with no apparent \'incidents\'.
Now, he didn\'t know if it was just that the Angerfant\'s and Tortalion\'s relationships were just a special case.
But he felt like it was more than that!
To him, it looked like they had a purposelike they were working toward some unknown goal that eluded both him and the majority of monster society.
Now what that goal was would probably stay a mystery for a long while.
But to be honest, Azmond was willing to wait if it meant he could solve one of those \'unsolvable\'s\' that festered inside his mind.
"Hey, Azmond?" The meek girl sitting by the window seal asked.
"Hmm?" Azmond turned his head in her direction before following up with a question. "What is it, Calista?"
"I need to pee"
Her voice came out in an almost inaudible tone, but despite that, he heard it, as he immediately knew what he had to do.
"Very well."
That was all he said before he disappeared and phased outside the swan ship.
*****
FWIP!
Azmond reappeared outside the swan ship as he found himself at the backside of it.
"There is something else I wanted to do, and Calista simply gave me a valid excuse to do it," he uttered.
His body had already flown around to the back thrusters, as he was about to do something quite thrilling!
"Time to give this white bird a little boost."
His slightly expectant voice echoed out before he went straight up to the scorching thrusters and put his hands directly into the blazing inferno!
