Chapter 344: The Feisty Clawdia
|You still have me, Azmond!| Boundless exclaimed.
'Yep, I truly am all alone' He thought with a lonely look on his face.
|He-Hey, you're ignoring me again, aren't you!? Hey-|
Azmond ignored the yammerings of the squishy woman latched onto his back as he focused all his attention on the incoming calamity that was staring him right in the eyes.
"So? Do you have anything to say for yourself, 'Azmond'...?" Clawdia questioned with a malevolent expression.
Although she wanted to cut off his lower half and kill him right then and there, he had, after all, saved his baby sister's life, so she was magnanimous enough to give him a chance to explain himself.
"..." Azmond looked at the 'forgiving' look on Clawdia's face and knew that he was screwed no matter what he said.
Damned if he did, and damned if he didn't.
That basically summed up the 'situation' he found himself in.
So, like the risk-taker he was, he looked Clawdia straight in the eyes before in he earnestly said, "It's a misunderstanding-"
However, he didn't even get the chance to finish speaking, as a cold blade touched his throat.
"!!!" He leaned his head back, subsequently dodging the blade strike.
SLASH!
The blade flew past his neck as a wide crescent of sword energy was released!
WHIZZ!
The sword arc blitzed through the air at speeds faster than light before it landed a few million miles out.
BOOOOOOOOM!
A loud explosion boomed out as a hundredth of the Twentieth Floor was vaporized off the face of the map!
'Holy shit' Azmond thought as he looked behind him and saw the destruction that was caused by Clawdia's deadly sword strike. 'I am so fucking screwed'
"..." Clawdia noticed that Azmond was still standing as she asked, "Why are you still alive?"
'What do you mean, why am I alive!?'
Azmond was exasperated over the head-strong personality of this woman.
"Did you want me to die or something?" He asked with an awkward expression.
"...Yes, that is why I attacked you." Her response was instantaneous as she stared at Azmond with a fascinated look on her face.
Even though Clawdia was severely injured and incapable of using her Mahayana Realm strength, she still put enough force into that attack to be capable of killing someone in the Peak Stages of the Fourth Cataclysm of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm!
And yet, he was still alive.
"..." She looked into his dazzling blue eyes before she asked, "Why did you dodge?"
"..." Azmond stared at Clawdia like he was looking at a looney bin.
He started to doubt whether his little angel was actually related to this crazy woman. But after double-checking her status screen, he knew for sure that they were related.
As Azmond was mulling over the sanity of Clawdia, she, on the other hand, was just gazing at his face, seemingly admiring the thing she'd have to desecrate in not too long.
'It's too bad this man is a pervert'
She let out a sigh before she started to build up even greater energy.
WAAAA!!
A murky gray energy erupted from her curvaceous figure as it enveloped everything within a million-mile radius!
Clawdia's aura kept on climbing until it eventually reached a point where it could compete with someone in the Early Stages of the Sixth Cataclysm of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm!
"!?"
Azmond snapped out of his stupor upon feeling the stupendous level of energy before he asked, "... Can we not talk this over? I truly haven't put a hand on Calista."
Clawdia turned her emotionless gaze down to the chiseled features that molded his face before she said, "Really?"
WAAaa
The immense amount of energy being emitted from her calmed down a little as she looked toward Azmond for confirmation.
"..." Azmond couldn't believe she actually listened to him. But he wasn't one to deny a good opportunity, as he replied, "I would never lay a hand on my little angel."
Clawdia scanned his expression for any deceit, but she saw nothing that would indicate he was lying to her, so she muttered, "You should've just said so in the beginning."
WAaa
Her aura died out following her nonchalant words as she walked back over to her sister.
"..." Azmond watched Clawdia leave the scene, like she didn't just come close to killing him.
He was baffled by the 'eccentric' personality of this woman.
And what did she mean by 'say so in the beginning'!? Did he not attempt to explain himself right from the get-go!?
He already had enough to deal with when it came to Clawdia and Calista, but he got the feeling that the unusual traits of these girls would extend to their whole family line.
*Shiver!*
He shuddered at the thought of meeting their father and mother.
Nonetheless, he still had to assist that girl with her injury, so he walked over to her and put his hand up to her side.
"Wha-!?" Clawdia suddenly yelped when she felt something cold touch her abdomen.
OOOM!
She was about to attack the person who was audacious enough to touch her in a weakened state, but she held her hand when she felt something warm and soothing spread throughout her.
WHISH!
A light green energy washed over her insides as the malevolent energy that the Overseers had inflicted on her a few months ago started to heal up.
"What are you doing to me, human?"
"I am helping you out." Azmond stated with a neutral expression before he added, "And my name isn't 'human', it's Azmond."
"..." Clawdia looked into his expressionless eyes before she asked, "Why are you helping me, hu- Azmond?"
She didn't believe that the person she had just tried to kill would do something out of the kindness of his heart.
And she was partially right on that fact, for he truly wasn't doing it for her.
Azmond turned his gaze away from Clawdia as his eyes caught sight of the still-dazed Calista.
Clawdia followed his eyes as well, before she heard him say, "I'm doing it for her."
