Chapter 345: Is It An Enemy…?
His words echoed out in an indifferent tone, as he genuinely believed that he was doing it for himself.
"..." She scrutinized the look on his face before she repeated, "For yourself, huh?"
"Yes, for myself."
"..."
Clawdia didn't know what take she had on the existence called Azmond.
Was he kind? Was he a pervert? Was he a good man?
But, in the midst of her thoughts, she blurted out, "You have been good to my sister, haven't you"
Azmond turned his impassive gaze toward the relieved look on her face before he said, "I did it for myself."
Following such a familiar answer, he got up from his position, as Calwdia had already been fully healed by his 'Minor Heal' skill.
"..." Clawdia's relieved expression only became more noticeable after hearing his answer, as she was glad.
She was glad that her baby sister had found a nice man to help her out when she was at her lowest point.
There was nothing that would have pleased her more than viewing such a good piece of news in person.
Calista had explained her time with Azmond earlier; however, it felt better to witness his personality in person.
And she was glad to say that it looked like her sister made the right choice by following this mysterious man around.
Her softened eyes swiveled back towards Azmond's figure, as she figured she would stay around a little longer.
Just to make sure her sister was doing well, of course
"..." Azmond saw that expression on her face, and that was when he knew he had gained another member to add to his group.
On that note, the number of people tagging along on his journey had increased by quite a lot, which made him think of something.
'Maybe I should make a guild, a kingdom, or something?' He mused before he realized something interesting, as he thought, 'Although such an organization would be filled up to the brim with nothing but crazies... Heh.'
He chuckled a little after thinking about such a scenario, as he seriously considered making some sort of place where he could be affiliated.
There was the 'Heaven Exploding Faction' that he claimed to be part of; however, that was more of a joke than anything.
Or was it?
That was when a sudden idea entered his mind as he thought, 'I should just make another Heaven Exploding Faction...'
It was the perfect idea! He could keep his past 'affiliation', but at the same time, create a real 'place' for himself.
A place that he, along with the rest of his members, could build up into something truly mind-boggling!
However, regardless of his grand aspirations, Azmond calmed himself down as he realized that he was getting a little ahead of himself.
'First, I will conquer Asterion, then I'll worry about making a faction,' he thought with a calm expression.
But no matter how hard he tried to hide it, the amount of anticipation building up inside him was getting a little out of hand.
Azmond could hardly wait for the day that he was able to stand atop his own organization, conquering everything he set his eyes upon!
Nevertheless, that was a topic for a him far into the future. After all, he still had to take Calista, her sister, Boundless, and the rest of the gang to the Twenty First Floor.
Furthermore, there were still a few things concerning the 'Moonweaver' family that intrigued him, especially pertaining to these 'Cosmic Asteroids' and how people were able to live out in what he assumed to be space!
And all of these things would be answered after he made it to the Twenty First Floor, and whatever lay beyond.
However, it seemed like not everything wanted to go his way, as a sudden presence greater than even Clawdia's still-recovering self was felt a few hundred thousand miles to the north with his divine sense.
"..." Azmond noticed such a disturbance as he looked at the potential ally, whose energy was slowly coming back to her.
And although it was returning to Clawdia relatively fast, he knew that she would have to stay away from this upcoming encounter if she wanted to fully restore her power without a hitch.
Why did he already term it an 'encounter'? Well, it was because he could practically feel the hostility oozing out from hundreds of thousands of miles away.
And all of that hostility seemed to be directed toward him and only him.
-
*Sigh*
Azmond lamented his fate for becoming part of one troublesome event after another.
|You going to meet that energy signature head on?| Boundless asked from on top of Azmond's head.
*Jiggle Jiggle*
Her body ricocheted a little after asking such an obvious question.
And it didn't take long before Boundless got the answer she thought she would, as he said, "Of course."
Azmond's blue eyes flipped through the people around him, as he knew that getting his future guild members involved would not be optimal.
So, after feeling the hostile aura signature get even closer to their location, he simply said, "I have to go and meet a guest. I'll be right back, okay?"
His voice came out in a dry tone, but even if it sounded like he wasn't taking the situation very seriously, everyone else could feel that something was wrong.
"..." "..." "..."
Everybody went silent for a second, seemingly analyzing his words.
Until finally
"Is it an enemy?" Clawdia asked.
Azmond looked toward the busty catkin woman and couldn't help but find it funny that she was the first one to speak up, given that she was his enemy not even a few minutes ago.
But regardless of their past bad blood, he said, "Yes, at least, it's highly likely."
He wasn't going to sugarcoat it for them, as they deserved to know the truth as well. But more than that, he was just too lazy to come up with a plausible excuse
